Bangladesh Air Force Purchased LY-80 medium range SAM

Oh, why didn't you say so? I'm convinced.

I really don't know where this hatred that you have for BD comes from you.

What matters is that BD has an economy 3 times as large as yours and this difference is likely to stay as the countries are both expected to grow at similar rates over the next decades. The critical difference is that BD defence spending is likely to match and over the longer term even exceed Myanmar's and so BD military forces will be able to afford weapons at similar quality and larger numbers to what Myanmar can procure.

Trust me when I say that the BD military of 2030 will be overwhelmingly more powerful than Myanmar. BD is hedging against India and Myanmar is not taken serious by BD strategic planners at all.

The bold part: It is the truth. The BD military procurement is hedging against an Indian dream to become the ENGULFER of BD. India is an all time hungry Rakkhyash we shall have to face with bravery and technology as well as goood relationship with China. Stupid Indian politicians cannot foresee what is inside SHW. I wish her domestic politics would have been better and more humanistic.

These are some of the procurement news from a foreign source. Note the following excerpts of the 'Forces Goal 2030' from Revolvy:

1) "In 2011, BAF inducted its first SAM system, the FM 90, from China. In 2014, BAF procured one regiment of LY-80E medium range SAM systems which will be delivered in 2015."
2) "An independent air defence brigade has been formed at Dhaka Cantonment. Two (more) regiments of FM 90 surface to air missile will be added by 2016 to enhance air defence capabilities of army."

I am unwilling to write about many other procurement news, because it will cause more drinking by a few Indians, which is bad for their heart. Anyway, the Revolvy news attests to the authenticity of BD military procurement of SHORD FM-90 as well as LY-80E medium range missiles that can destroy that Indian Brahmos.

I really don't know where this hatred that you have for BD comes from you.

Burmese hatred comes from its fear and nervousness that BD is working ahead in all the economic fields and now in the military procurement field, they are ahead of us though in FDI field. They do not understand BD people's sentiments do not support an armed conflict with Burma, while the same population is full of enthusiasm when it is India.

We will only degrade ourselves if we became Myanmar centric on defence matters. Our real enemy is India and all our effort should be to contain this menace.Myanmar at most can become another Thailand on defence capabilities. But we have the chance to become another Pakistan if we have determination.Bangladesh should put great emphasize to increase friendship with Myanmar.

I also do not think that Awami/SHW are puppets of India.

SHW is cleverly using India to gain 1-2 decades of peace, whereby BD can spend relatively small sums on defence while it focuses on building up it's economy. The 7% current GDP growth rate will hit 8-9% average when the major infrastructure projects are completed in the early 2020s.

While the economy is growing, BD is purchasing small number of advanced weapons and when you see it reach a critical mass sometime in the next decade, expect much larger numbers of advanced weapons to be procured.

BD military of 2030 will be strong enough that it should start reaching the power, if not matching it, of Indian forces in the NE.These stupid Indians are being outwitted by SHW.

All you have so far is a pic of 10 guys and a throwaway report in some magazines. That's not confirmation.

You do realise that a lot of Indians are identical to BD'shis in looks?

So what is the real truth dude?

It's more contempt and disgust than hate. It's also fun to make fun of you guys because you make it easy by lying all the time.

Also, I don't want to write a whole essay on it but your economic conclusions are largely nonsense.

So you do not answer the question.

Like I say, BD strategic planners do not factor in Myanmar into their calculations as it is too insignificant.

India only becomes a factor as it is so large compared to BD.

PS - You do realise just how large and advanced the BD pharmaceutical industry is that it supplies 97% of medicines to the BD home market and has gained approval from US authorities to export there? I would not expect you to know or even care about small facts like this.

I think the biggest thing is your faces.

Yes, we know you call us 'kala'. But, all of us are not that Kala. Even the Rohingyas I have seen in Tokyo are not all of them are Kala. Islam has taught us not to give importance to caste, creed and complexion. We have become a mixed group of people of Turks, Pathans, Mughals and local Hindus converted to Muslims. But, the Burmese do not intermingle or intermarry with other Burmese from Shan or Karen.

GDP growth rate will not hit 8-9% soon.
BD GDP growth rate will remain 7-8% till 2020. Our country is not put on sale like some of our south eastern neighbor. We have to first accumulate capital to invest further to go to the next level.

decade of 70's - 3% average growth rate
decade of 80's - 4% average growth rate
decade of 90's - 5% average growth rate
decade of 00's - 6% average growth rate
decade of 01's - 7% average growth rate

So it took us average a decade to increase the growth rate by a percent.
You should be very happy that at least our economy is in the hand of very competent people in the government, be it in BNP or in AL. We are in the steady path and following fundamental economics.

Did I not say 8-9% average next from early next decade? Maybe it won't hit 9% but 8% is doable.

I agree that BD is following a deliberate policy whereby it is trying to restrict too much FDI as all that does is give foreigners a large share of it's GDP output over the long-term

Brother, burmese women will die for a Kalar.. Thats the boiling matter in Burma. Did not you see that even their parliament, army and monks are deployed to stop the erection of Kalar?

We should make best out of 7% by allowing some flexibility in inflation. In the meantime develop our own brand to compete in the international market like South Korea and China.
