But when people actually look at how BD people are doing in 3rd party parts of the (esp developed) world relative to others (so a consistent framework exists to compare), or in the off chance they actually visit BD to gauge the reality for themselves (as the economist did for Dhaka)....they quickly find out something really nasty is going on with BD govt claims through its paper-based data, politically compromised propaganda dept known as BBS (this isnt from me at all, this is what the corruption indices, GDDS category and ESCAP assessment all point to....along with the scale of the dissonance, severe polarised atmosphere and political servitude prevalence).
Loser strikes again.
BD only gained independence in 1971 and only then could concentrate it's resources rather than having it's money diverted to Pakistan. Due to this it is a good decade behind India in infrastructure.
Dhaka contains no less than 38% of the urban population of BD and there is an plan RSTP 2016-2035 that will sort everything out. We are already seeing construction of the first line of the Rapid Mass Transport, Dhaka Metro and also the Elevated expressway to be finished by end of this decade. Other cities like Chittagong are much better than Dhaka as they have less people from the countryside coming in.
If you are being serious, can you say that the Dhaka RSTP 2016-2035 plan(mainly with Japanese support) will not turn Dhaka into a very liveable city?
