Look at comment 2. Pakistan is now 44th position means Bangladesh has overtaken Pakistan’s position as second largest economy. If you find provocation even in a logical thread you better go to some other place to fulfill your ego. This place is for matured people not immatured people who can participate in open discussion and has the ability to listen both good and bad of their likings.

Chacha, you are getting angered needlessly. BD overtaking Pakistan's nominal economy would have come up in this thread anyway. Besides this thread still has a healthy environment without much insult mud slinging. Don't stir things up unnecessarily.

Thread title is perfact - Bangladesh has overtaken Pakistan as second largest economy in South Asia and 41st in the world. If you can not digest it close this thread and go some other thread. This is big news for angladesh.

There are countries which borrowed more than what they can pay back. Pakistan or Sri Lanka.
How did Pakistan managed to borrow beyond it's means? And trade deficit is a concern for BD too.

Pakistan problem is not debt neither for Sri Lanka. You can even reschedule your debt. Pakistan already serviced its last short term IMF loan. You can reschedule your loan with multilateral donor.
The problematic loans are that of Suppliers Credit, Commercial loan even you can reschedule them as long as you remain with good terms with the lenders.

The biggest problem faced by the countries are from capital flight who service their current account deficit through FDI and portfolio investment and hedge funds. Pakistan did well with the FDI but as it nose dived they are unable to cover their foreign currency obligation.

Dunno...I have read many threads in Pakistan Economy section. Many seem to blame reckless borrowing of Nawaz Sharif govt for the current crisis(or whatever they call it)...

@Slav Defence @The Eagle @Dubious @Horus can you please remind this guy @CHACHA"G" this is an open discussion forum. He should have the ability of listen to both likings or disliking. But he at present and in the past displaying immature behavior like a teenagers or kids over a title which is fact and Bangladesh has achieved it with hard work. I gave summary of full meaning of the report in the title. Overtaking Pakistan to be second largest economy is nothing provocative as it is fact unless even for a Pakistani has the ability to accept that.

This thread is having healthy discussion until this guy started to do mud sidling which is quite immature.

Bangladesh has become 2nd largest economy would come up sooner or later even as title of a news. I hope you understand that.
