Ban on import of Indian medicines lifted

This money will finance our armed forces.

I don't know how I should feel.

.
Well India is not a only country who sell live saving drugs and what you do if Indian stop supply of live saving drug in a war time than your fm Qureshi beg again in front of India or you buy from alternate have some logic bro
Chill bro life saving drug is possibly can get it from anywhere in the world but some time in serious situation you have to take advantage we might have enough stock or have multiple suppliers in war time.. beat india with their shoes.

.
I'm talking about Pakistani companies not Indian and yes Indian drugs prices are low but in war time they will show you big middle fin..ger
I doubt that will happen and even if it does, it is to be expected. Bringing hypothetical and extraordinary circumstance to normal situations helps no one. GPS can be stopped anytime. Water can be manipulated by India anytime. Oil and ammunition's could be embargoed.

India isnt the only manufacturer of life saving drugs but it is the cheapest source for some types. Till alternatives are found and certified or local production started will have to make do but this should be for short term only.

With the ban, local manufacturers should get the encouragement they needed to make them locally. China also makes alot of drugs cheap but local doctors might need time to test them out properly to build confidence.

Also Iran is pretty advanced in pharma if sanction loopholes found it could also be a alternate source.

Unfortunately awam was sleeping till now with the leaders we have had.
Pharma industry is a investment intensive sector. You cant just decide and open one. You need money, skilled scientists, laboratories, various approval and certifications, patent and permissions for various drugs, and then compete with the already existing industries. It takes years if not decades. If it was easy, you wouldnt need to give businessmen ideas.

.
Import that medicine or raw material from China.
I belive india export quite a lot of those medicnes to China. Manufacturing ourselves is the best way forward it will be expensive in the short term but will benefit us long term, but is guess its benefical for the drug mafia to import them instead of manufacturing, trade barriers and subsusidy is required for internal manufacturing.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday allowed the import of life-saving drugs from India which was stopped last month when the Nation Security Committee decided to suspend trade with New Delhi over it’s actions in occupied Kashmir.

The decision was taken to provide relief to the patients and a statutory regulatory order (SRO) was issued by the Ministry of Commerce to this effect.

The top security body’s meeting on August 07 resolved to downgrade its diplomatic relations two days after India abrogated Article 370, which provided autonomy to the Muslim-majority region.

Since August 05, the IoK is under curfew and a communication blockade has been imposed in the region to suppress protests against the Narendra Modi government.

However, the international media has reported hundreds of rallies taken out during the past few weeks despite military crackdown.

Fake news. Pious Pakistanis will prefer to die over taking medicines from dirty hindus.

Dude, Pakistani politicians are in bed with Indians. They make sure people remain sick so that India continue to make profit. This is just the official part, there will be 90% smuggling and on 10% on record.

We should get these from China what is CPEC for ?
If we buy from China than China gets $ but objective of Pakistani politicians is to do their duty towards modi and make sure he winds next election as well.
CPEC is history, from the day Imran Khan took over.

Wise decision. Ordinary people should not suffer for political diabolical discourse.

Good that we can continue to save the lives of common Pakistani.

Pakistan permits trade of life-saving drugs with India amid tensions over occupied Kashmir
ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Monday allowed the import of life-saving medicines from India in order to provide relief to patients amid bilateral tensions with New Delhi over the illegal annexation of Indian-occupied Kashmir last month.

The permission to import and export medicines to and from the Hindu-majority country was granted by the Ministry of Commerce, which issued a statutory regulatory order in this regard.

Last month, Pakistan suspended bilateral trade with neighbour India after the latter illegally annexed Indian occupied Kashmir by revoking the special constitutional autonomy of the occupied valley through a presidential order rushed through the parliament.

Hundreds of thousands of additional troops were posted in the valley following the order and a military curfew imposed. Thousands of Kashmiri political leaders, businessmen, civil activists and other ordinary citizens were arrested.

International media are now reporting widespread torture and abuse of these detainees by the Indian security forces. Some reports have even claimed that India is denying medical care to patients. Last week, US Senator Bernie Sanders expressed concern in this regard.

Moreover, Pakistan is also contemplating closing its airspace for Indian flights and is also discussing other measures aimed at downgrading bilateral ties with India to protest the moves in the occupied valley.
