GUJRANWALA / SIALKOT / QUETTA: Following the discovery of 15 bullet-riddled bodies by the Levies force in Balochistan’s Buleda tehsil on Wednesday morning, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided and arrested several human traffickers in Sialkot and Gujranwala districts on Thursday.

The bodies were brought back to Punjab late on Thursday for burial.

Speaking to journalists, FIA divisional deputy director Khalid Anees said Sabir Gujjar, the main suspect, had taken some of the 15 men from Punjab to Quetta after taking a sizeable sum from them.

In Quetta, Gujjar had allegedly paid an accomplice Abid Gujjar Rs50,000 to take his clients further, who then handed over the men to two other agents. Sabir Gujjar remains at large, the official said.

Muhammad Tanveer from Mundair Khurd village of Sialkot district was picked up for his alleged involvement in human trafficking.

The FIA official said that Tanveer and his nephew Rashid Cheema, who is currently in Turkey, had taken Rs150,000 each from Abdul Ghafoor and Zafran, residents of Bhagwal Awan village in Sialkot district, to send them to Turkey via Iran. Ghafoor and Zafran were both among those killed.

Zafer Iqbal of Jamki Chattha in Wazirabad tehsil was another suspect arrested.

Sabir Gujjar and Abid Gujjar hail from the same village. The FIA official said they were conducting raids to arrest them. The son of Muhammad Khan Pathan of Phalia, a notorious human trafficker, was also allegedly arrested by the FIA.

He added that the 15 men had been brought to Quetta separately, some as early as 20 days ago.

Four of the victims hailed from Silakot. They had been taken to Quetta by human traffickers who had apparently taken a lot of money from their families for this purpose.

Earlier in Islamabad, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal directed the FIA to look into the killings.

He ordered immediate and effective action against the agents who had a reprehensible role in the episode.

The documents and other items found on the 15 bodies suggested the men were trying to cross into Iran. However, it was not clear as to what had led to their death.

We all thinking may be poor labors from Punjab killed by R&AW stooges but in fact these killings done by agents aka human traffickers who took huge sum of money from these people in order to send them Europe and killed them in Baluchistan.
But some twitter users associated to Sarmachars were claiming that the killed labors belong to FWO and accepted responsibility for this act.

No there are rumors but after investigation they found out bodies belongs to well off families and further investigations reveals these peoples are lured by agents (which I confirm from my sources from Sialkot).

A strict eye is required towards Agencies who are providing visas. A lot of corruption has been reported by them previously now they are playing with the lives of innocents. IB and FIA have to establish dedicated departments to crush these networks.

These bloody creatures always find way to make money, they know the situation of Baluchistan and try to cash it but thanks to FIA the found out who is the culprit.
They thought they kill them in Baluchistan and authorities would think that these killing done by BLA/BRA and shut the case.

It's complicated picture. Drugs, smuggling, contraband, insurgents, Islamists. Of course if I was in charge of RAW I would wade in to stir the chaos even more. The biggest deadweight holding Pakistan back - I would place it higher than corruption [sorry IK] is the the extremely negative view of Pakistan abroad. And that negative view of Pakistan is informed by regulars news of terrorism and lawlessness. Therefore from RAW's perspective it would make sense to stir even more trouble inside Pakistan thus doing incalcuable damage to Pakistan.

Don't forget the negative perception eats away into any prospects investments. It effects Pakistan's trade. It effects the cost of doing business in Pakistan. It effects insurance rates. It's like a cancer that eats away and spreads across Pakistan's economy. To underline this point Pakistan is a country of 200 million people. There are less international airlines flying into Pakistan then tiny Sri Lanka.

Pakistan's international stock value is lower than any other country other than perhaps Afghanistan.

the peoples smuggling was just a ploy
it was not a spontaneous or random massacre but re-planned using the smugglers. the intent was that all victims must be punjabis so the fate of those innocent youth was sealed the day they contacted the handlers in punjab in hope of making into europe via balochistan iran turkey and europe.

they were brought close to the border and then brutally killed, apparently their torture and execution videos will be released at the right time by the handlers for maximum damage against state of Pakistan. the execution of entire police family spanning over 3 generations is also linked to this fresh wave of terrorism and Indians see no need to hide their intent and their actions. there are many gulbashans we just need to nab them now and hurt the Indians in the same way that their anti Pakistan project from Afghan borders becomes painfully expensive and prohibitive.

And negative perception because of rampant corruption

More than saftey its anout ease of doing business

Pakistan doesn't even rank in top 100!

This is because every step involves open bribing of beucrats and politicians

Security id also related to.corruption and lack of accountability ...e.g this case wulltbe swept under the rug either now or at judiciary level due to huge corruption in judiciary system...trust ne for someone involved in judiciary system its so open that's not even considered corruption anymore

I agree but the real problem is Pakistan is a weak and fragile state. That is why India's has the opportunity to do what it does. I am going to open a thread on this - do look forward to your thoughts. I will tag you.

Its more about the approach and circumstances a country is in than strength.US is a strong state but can they avoid incidents that happen every month there?
Baluchistan needs to be populated with people .Demographic change is the solution. And ofcourse the border needs tobe fenced. and guarded. This incident is symbolic therefore picking up heat.Since this incident happened more people died in Karachi and Lahore in various street crimes.

They do involve in many thousands of killings of innocent Pakistanis in order to stop us raising voice for Kashmir and CPEC.

Let me ask you a question then ?? If by any chance Pakistan succeed in killing few random Laborer's associated with infrastructure projects etc. in Kashmir, let alone India, do you seriously think it will make us stall that project indefinitely ???? If not, why do you think India will do something so futile that won't affect the projects like CEPC in any way ???? There are 1000 other methods to sabotage them. :(

I think both countries from the very beginning has taken some very wrong directions. Now its difficult to tell what really is going on. Both countries need to work together. As far as CPEC is concerned I think India should also be a part of it. They should also be benefited from it.
