I can also speak Urdu....by 'Urdufied' i meant those who adopted the culture and ways of Urdu and gave up on Pashtun one. Also I know about some Pashtun couples in Islamabad and Karachi, who impose Urdu on their small kids (talk with them in only Urdu) even though Husband and wife speak their mother tongue Pashto with each other. For example there was this Khattak couple from karak who were speaking Pashto with each other, but their kids were speaking Urdu. The Khattak proudly told me that Pashto is a useless and backward language, so they have decided that their kids should not learn Pashto but only Urdu. I told that turd the importance of mother tongue , and reminded him that in Pakistan, its English not Urdu, which is considered as sign of progress and class.....that turd was of course a nalaiq one and was not good with English
And who told you i am urdufied ? Urdu and Pashto are both equally important for me . I don't place one above the other . If that couple adopted urdu ways how is that suppose to be bad? Urdu is our Language language and a unifying force . Ethnic Lines are not more important for me than my national identity . Both must go along side by side while not compromising on our national identity . Let me show you 2 pictures .
This is your capital Kabul . Divided on ethnic lines , stuck in medieval age and resisting anything that is moderate and modern . In short mentality of the people has made it like this . Even our towns have a better view than this .
This is Islamabad . My capital . One of the best planned Cities in the world . People are open to moderate ideas , People go along nicely with each other and there are rarely ethnic tensions . Islamabad would have been Kabul if everyone there had the same mentality as yours .
