Bhatti's of the south western Haryana were the only influential nawabs all the others were just british puppets .
Most of the areas were either under sikh or Jat rule.
British struggled for more than ten years to defeat the bhattis and were finally able to do so because the bhatti nawabs deserted the battle field leaving their soldiers to die .
Later they took part in the revolt .
