Female cattles are not slaughtered untill the cow stops giving milk. There is a probaganda against Muslims by BJP that Muslim hurts Hindus by slaughtering female cattle which is completely false. Female cattle gives us milk and also many families earn there bread by selling milk. Also the meat of female cattle is not much tasty. For red meat bulls are very popular. When someone don't get bull or ox he buys female cattle aka cow or buffalos.

I know Hindus don't eat beef since its discouraged but not strictly prohibitted. In BD many Muslim households serve Goat meat to there Hindu guest during Eid ul Azha. Most Hindus don't even eat bull meat but some don't care. They eat everything without any restriction. lol

Pork is haram for Muslim. So we don't eat it but only when there is no other food to eat and you are in critical condition you can eat whatever you wish. Even pork.

We use cow to refer all species of cattle but yeah cows are female species and bulls are intact non castrated male cattle. Female cattles are not generally slaughtered for Qurbani but some people do sacrifice 'cow'. Bulls, Ox are slaughtered in large number during Eid. We just use cow to refer all species of cattle.

Buffalos are also slaughtered but its not widespread. Bulls, Oxen, Camels and Goats are slaughtered worldwide during Eid. Female cattle and Buffalos are not popular animal for Qurbani.

Btw, do you eat cow meat aka bull meat?

Cows are not sacrificed by muslims where I stay. it is Bulls. yes, I am a beef eater. in our state(Kerala), people consume beef without any religious taboo unlike north India. fish and red meat is favourites here. (I've earlier tried to reply, but posts are not showing up..)

No. Its Bangladeshi home grown cattle. The owner cried while selling the bull. He took care of this bull as his own child. It was touchy to see him cry for a cattle.
