What's new

Bajwa extension was my worst decision, there should be no extension at all. Imran Khan.

IK time and gain said that the PTI government and the establishment were on the same page.
Bro.. Bajwa till April 2022 kept saying we want continuity of the process. What wd IK have said else! Bajwa ensured and IK said yes we are on the same page.

.
Not really, it gave people a doze of good governance (atleast at federal level)

Now people will come back for more, it was a good decision
The rhetoric of making a new Pakistan and thereby implementing major reforms requires an audience that is receptive to that message. Khan by claiming that he was this messiah has a generation hooked to this hope. If he fails then the next leader to claim he/she will bring this major change will have a less receptive audience. In essence this is a once in a generation chance to make fundamental changes in our society, and leaving that in the hands of shaky coalition was a major mistake imo. I personally don't think he has the vision or will to make these changes either but that's my personal opinion and unrelated to this topic.

Not really, The system is designed to produce a false hope every so often to decant away the misfits and leave behind a perfectly malleable population. It is quite masterful, actually.

That’s why I call IK naive and when he claims, he know exactly what to do and he has seen everything, than he started to sound stupid.
Hopefully the experience in government and the time out of government has made him wiser to see his own limitations, and to pick a better team of advisors, experts, and middle management to build a more comprehensive and actionable platform for governance head of the next election. He need to show that he is ready to start on day 1; to turn the economy around and act on the other needs of the people in a realistic but timely manner.

He needs teams of people working day and night to come up with plans (Plan A, B, c, etc.) to meet each of the challenges. It’s like getting ready for meeting with venture capitalists, you need fully thought out ideas, a basic performing product to show, and a team capable to execute from the get go.

Khan doesn’t have the intellectual vision like Lee Kuan yew, or mahatir or general Park- this is true. And in fact, I strongly disagree with Khans political economy.

At the same time, he is somewhat bound by the diktats of realpolitik- he had to remove Hafeez if for no other reason than that expenditure of political capital is not feasible- especially if he is to be replaced by Dar who is going to give short-term cookies. The IMF is doubtful that flood relief donation money is probably not even going to flood relief victims. Can you fathom this?

So Khan is our best option. And given that we have been run into the ground, even semi-competence will let us grow the same rate as our neighbors in the region. It’s not like the other leaders in the region have better ideas. In fact, they are worse than Khan.

Hindsight is always perfect. I can guarantee, had the extension gone in PTI's favor, IK would have never admitted this.

Extensions should NEVER happen. That has been known to us unfortunate Pakistanis, in khaki or civvies, for decades now. How could one claim mea culpa now when he knew better all along?

He is simply not fit to be a politician. In any country. He should do what he knows how to do, as you said - philanthropy.
sir ji... fatwa ?....in politics conclusive remarks?

I think any elected govt should make amendments to Constitution and give the military a permanent role in all Pak affairs besides security, politics, and accountability.

just goes to show that Gen bajwa's complain and excuse for kicking him out is correct.
Bajwa was claiming that Imran wanted army to bring him back in and lock up all his political opponents.
this was pretty much it. no questions asked about Gogi, Zulfi, Manikas Buzdar etc.
in Imran's view it was very democratic that army ensured he remained in power and his political opponents had no chance of challenging him.

what really broke me off him completely how arrogantly he declared that he had summoned the president of Pakistan to discuss the COAS appointment.
for him a head of state meant fck all to him and considered that dentist still his subordinate party member which nullified the stature of the head of state,.

PS: I voted/ supported and contributed towards his party.
and NO... it doesnt mean now I will vote for PPP or Noon league.

I wish he is finding out but his commentary suggests otherwise.
Khan said changing faiz hameed was the start of regime change operation , later we all know how he used he used nadeem anjum to implement the policies of dollar lord , and these haramis are always ready to sell there mothers for few million dollars

Attention to all boot polishers, army and establishment is not the rulers but the servants of govt hence they should always stand beside the PM , inho na agar politics main maan khudwani hoti ha to ain a kar leaders k sath election lar lia karain , ask bajwa to come and join PDM lets see how much he is popular among the common people

IK: Bajwa extension was my worst decision.

That being 'worst' stigma will always be associated with Bajwa.

He explained it a bit in the interview, trustworthy people normally trust other people just as honest person views the other person as honest as well, a liar will consider others as liars. And it shows that one is courageous enough to accept what is being promised or said by the other person.

And since IK trusts 'others' as being honest and truthful, a large number of people from Pakistan also trust Imran Khan as being honest, truthful and incorruptible.

Imran Khan’s mistakes

Giving extension to Bajwa. While the establishment was too powerful but there were ways for Imran Khan to give the CAOS to someone else. (And don’t say that you did not know despite having DG ISI and your entire cabinet to advise you)

Sticking to Buzdar. Very stupid of Imran Khan to persist with him. I don’t know the background for this, but he should have replaced Buzdar after a year or so.

Constant brain freeze moments like ‘Afghanistan has broken the shackles of slavery’. Now guess what, the Afghans are under an even worse form of slavery in the form of Taliban dogs. Let the foreign minister do his job with diplomacy.

Not being hard enough with Accountability. Imran Khan should have raised the capacity of NAB and FIA to dispense justice at a rapid pace. The reforms of judiciary were badly needed.

Letting Nawaz Sharif go and Bajwa’s role in it. He should have seen Bajwa’s being corrupt there and then and should have fired him.

His wife, I don’t have much background on this, but Imran Khan is an idiot if he listens to his wife in matter of politics.

Imran Khan, played the VONC perfectly and exposed Bajwa / establishment role. Not that he did this singlehandedly. The public came out on the streets and the ball started rolling from there.

IK's only real good qualities are his ability to rally the nation together as a national leader and build pride. As well as his desire to rid institutional corruption, and invoke honesty.

Apart from that he is quite naive and his policies aren't the most ideal, but he's the best from the options we have.

He needs to learn to maneuver with the army and give lee-way.

.
Well it is better to have a ‘naive’ politician who exposed the institution that has never been called out.

Or the naive politician, who despite all this fiasco, refuses to encourage violence against the establishment.

If and only if, he becomes a PM in future, the reforms in army should be the first order of the day. No extensions ever, and the COAS to be treated as a Grade 22 officer, reporting to the Defense Secretary including suspending political wings, p0rn video directing/editing section, torture cells, real estate, banking, fertilizer interests.

Bajwa was claiming that Imran wanted army to bring him back in and lock up all his political opponents.

What u claimed is that faiz was doing opposite against the Bajwa policy? Yeh sara system he ghatya hutia nazar aa raha ha humain fouj ka
It means institutions need fixation any country can bought and implement their policies through these corrupt generals?
