No shame in that, Urdu and Hindi is our national languages it's just those wannabe Burgers that feel ashamed to use Urdu or Hindi in the West, or even in India and Pakistan, I met a lot of people who try to talk in English with me back in Pakistan, and I am like why not use Urdu? I can understand it..

No I said it from another angle.

I once got into a debate with a Tamil supremacist from the South who claimed that it was English that was more commonly understood by all across India and hence having government (central) gazette's and notifications in Hindi was not correct.

On our railways stations the name of our stations is in English, Hindi and the local language.

I've not traveled by train for a couple of decades now so I don't know if that's still the case.

Highways too have English and the local language. I don't think Hindi features. Again not sure (I should check).

Fact is that less than 300 million Indians can speak read and write English.

While Hindi is the mother tongue of close to 600 million Indians.

And I'm pretty sure the number who can understand Hindi if not able to read or write it is easily close to twice that number.

Just jumping in randomly - an adult (teacher, parent, whatever) who may not initiate inappropriate contact by a minor, is still responsible for ending and/or reporting the inappropriate contact.

The adult cannot use the excuse that the minor 'started it' and they (the adult) just allowed it to happen.
