@T-123456

I realize it might be a bit off topic here, but I wanted a Turkish perspective on this that is not limited by national interests of boundaries of sovereign (read: Turkish) territory.

What is your read about the Kurdish fight for carving out an independent state.

Leaving Turkish and Iranian territory, do you see it birthing out of the current warring Syrian and Iraqi regions?

An independent Kurdistan growing out of what is now called the KRG?

I hear the Jews too are putting their might and resources behind this as well as many Israeli Kurds migrating to the region.

Cheers, Doc
The problem is not a Kurdish state, the KRG is autonomous within Iraq and as you know we do alot of business with the KRG.
The problem my country has with the so called Kurdish territories in Northern Syria is that they are under the flag of the YPG which is an offshoot/branch of the PKK terrorist organisation.
The PKK is our enemy so,this unacceptable for us.
The US will have to choose between a NATO ally and a terrorist organisation eventually and no matter the choice, the PKK/YPG will never have a ''country'' to lead,we will never allow it and dont even think about Israëli help for the PKK/YPG because Israel knows Turks are no Arabs.
The US will leave,then what?
What you(outsiders) dont want to understand is that Turks have nothing against Kurds,we live together as one people with the same rights.
So,short answer,KRG autonomous region,no problem.
Rojava YPG/PKK Northern Syria, not a chance in helll

If people talk about Arabs, they mean the Gulfies and gang, you are not included(but you knew that already).

What's the relationship between the Peshmerga and the YPG?

Who are the Iranians supporting?

Why would you be ok with the KRG when essentially the final goal (I'm assuming) is a unified Kurdish state?

Why would Iran?

Essentially it's not too different to the Baloch movement.

My interest as you might have guessed is Indian Zoroastrians increasingly funding the Kurds and providing them with the means and guidance to revert to their ancestral faith.

It's no more a far away middle Eastern war for us.

But the possibility of a homeland within our generation, for the first time in 1300 years.

Cheers, Doc

Officially enemies but in reality, they work together.

Who are the Iranians supporting?
Iran offically only the Iraqi government but also the opposition in the KRG,namely the PUK ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriotic_Union_of_Kurdistan ).

Why would you be ok with the KRG when essentially the final goal (I'm assuming) is a unified Kurdish state?
You do not know much about the Kurdish factios, they hate each other and will never unite or if forced to unite by the US/EU/Israel will not stay united for long so forget it.

Show some proof, sounds like a fantasy.
But the possibility of a homeland within our generation, for the first time in 1300 years.
Again,sounds like a fantasy.

India being member of Arab league is more qualified to be member of Arab NATO

India is not a member of Arab league.

Why Arab "NATO"?
NATO means North Atlantic Treaty Organization

Bahrain says 'Arab NATO' to be formed by next year

The alliance aims to include six Gulf countries and Egypt, though Saudi-led blockade on Qatar remains an obstacle.

Bahrain's crown prince has maintained close ties with Riyadh as pressure mounts over Khashoggi's murder

Bahrain's Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has said a planned Gulf security alliance, expected to include Egypt, will be formed by next year.

At a security summit in capital Manama on Saturday, Khalifa said the Middle East Strategic Alliance (MESA), an initiative pushed by US President Donald Trump to confront Iran, will help the Gulf remain "a pillar of stability".

"It (MESA) is an alliance for security and prosperity for the region and will be open to those who accept its principles," he said, adding that the alliance would also cooperate on economic issues.

Relations between Saudi Arabia, which is the lynchpin of the US-backed regional bloc, and its Western allies are strained following the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Doubts over MESA have also been raised over a protracted dispute between Qatar and four Arab states who launched a blockade against Doha in 2017.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut off travel and trade ties with Qatar in June 2017, accusing it of backing Iran and supporting "terrorism".

Qatar denies the charges and says the boycott impinges on its sovereignty.

'Arab NATO'
White House officials have called the MESA alliance an "Arab NATO".

"MESA will serve as a bulwark against Iranian aggression, terrorism, extremism, and will bring stability to the Middle East," a spokesperson for the White House's National Security Council had said in July.

The Trump administration has pursued policies meant to isolate Iran, including the US withdrawal from the landmark deal with Iran to limit Tehran's nuclear programme while lifting sanctions.

The move escalated tensions between the US and Iran, but was lauded by Saudi Arabia.

The Bahraini foreign minister also lauded Oman's Sultan Qaboos for his efforts to facilitate dialogue between Israel and Palestine.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made an unannounced visit to Oman on Thursday.

Oman's foreign minister, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, told the forum that Muscat was offering ideas to help Israel and the Palestinians to come together but was not acting as mediator.

Iran's 'vision of darkness'
Saudi Arabia and Bahrain said on Saturday that Gulf states are playing a critical role in maintaining stability in the Middle East by combating Iran's "vision of darkness" even as Riyadh faces its worst political crisis in decades.

"We are now dealing with two visions in the Middle East. One is a [Saudi] vision of light ... One is [an Iranian] vision of darkness which seeks to spread sectarianism throughout the region," Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said in Manama.

"History tells us that light always wins out against the dark ... The question is how do we defeat them," he said.

The US defence secretary, James Mattis, said the killing of Khashoggi, a prominent critic of Saudi policy, undermined regional stability.

"Failure of any one nation to adhere to international norms and the rule of law undermines regional stability at a time when it is needed most," Mattis said.

Trump has said he wants to get to the bottom of the Khashoggi case, while also highlighting Riyadh's role as an ally against Iran, as well as a major buyer of US arms.

. . . .
those are city states..
I've lived in Qatar and Bahrain for several years. Bahrain & Qatar are both very small countries. Bahrain runs on the welfare funds of Kuwait and KSA whilst Qatar is self-sufficient. Can you really justify playing with the sentiments of the local people to merge countries together?

They will be happy, becoming part of KSA, visa free entry for Hajj and Umra and they have essentially the same culture..though can have some internal autonomy but their defence will become much stronger.

Read your post again, you claimed the past 1000 years.
The Selcuk Turks arrived in 1071( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Manzikert ) ,you really dont want to change your statement?

Turks in the central asia are the real Turks while the ones in Turkey are fakes (descendants of the Janissaries) or mixed ones at best. The Turks of central asia are the natives of the land as ancient India included central Asia.

Ill explain once,if you come up with another dumb comment, ill brand you a troll.
Turks are not Arabs so,Arab Nato is Arabs only.
What has being white or other color have to do with it?
My country has all colors,we dont care, for us only the Nation counts,we are Turks,we are best friends or worst enemies,do not forget this.
We dont kill each other for religion, color or peanuts like the Arabs do.
Btw,we have good relations with Iran and Arab countries so,why pick a side?

So who's the people in Turkey? Are they Greek descendant? Or Babylonian Descendant? How can Turk people who lived around China long time ago can flooded today Turkey and diminish the majority of Babylonian people who live there previously. But who know. Can you explain?

They are experts in"population exchange" and euphemism for something really atrocious.

That explain why the natives are gone.
