And world bank = all borrowing any country does? Something an illiterate would think I suppose.

How much would you venture China borrowed in total from abroad in just one year?

Since your words were (Like the idiot you are).: India remains the largest borrower in the world.

Not to mention you still think borrowing == forex reserves....which is so stupid beyond words I don't know where to start on that.

You are an ok decent guy lot of the time:

But economics is not your strong suite, just let it be buddy.
Do not please camouflage India's real picture by saying unnecessary things and sending trash of links incessantly. If India is awash with foreign currency why should it borrow hundreds of billions dollars from the foreign lending agencies? Thing is India keeps on requesting the foreign govts. to help it survive. They also do not want India to go broke and are helping it by lending money through different agencies.

Building 6 frigates in 12 years is just another BD's day dream. (We won't be surprised if the rumours also turn out to be a hoax)

No country except BD can build 6 frigates in 12 years including the design and testing period.[emoji1]

For us, building a frigate take appx 4-5 years for a lead ship and 3 years for the follow on ones.

You can see how busy Myanmar naval shipyard is.

Components of a new frigate can be seen clearly.

Anyway . . stop trolling nd keep on topic.

No problem as it will be based on existing design - maybe Type-054B.
Do not compare world-class frigate with your silly man-pad frigates.

TL;DR: Indian government goes to the reserve bank of india, buys dollars via rupees, and makes payments for its imports using the dollars it bought?

Essentially what happens 80 - 90 % of the time. Remaining time depends on the global environment of other foreign USD liquidity sources.

So how do you explain China borrowing 170 billion USD from "foreign lending agencies" in just 2016 when it is "awash" with 3 trillion USD in its reserves? Answer that one simple question before anything else....if you dare (I know you wont though).

I have already described what the function of foreign reserves are in this thread...and why they are disjointed almost entirely from external borrowing of the country. Why and how they accumulate is a subject obviously beyond your ken and a complete waste of time for me to try delve into....since you are still stuck like a moron asserting what is factually completely incorrect....on some "feelz" of yours. Sorry only so much I can do to bring a BeeDee to water, I can't make it drink.

I mean do you really think any country would borrow money (at much higher market interest) to keep as a forex pool (when the return is 1% at best)? Use some basic math there idiot, or do you resign to the fact all of that aptitude went to West Bengalis and not you paddy field lot.

You are critically uninformed (no surprise given what you are) on the situation in India, which had a negative net flow of debt (i.e reduced its stock of debt by paying more off than adding in 2016), the only one to do so in the region:

https://blogs.worldbank.org/opendata/are-south-asian-countries-sinking-debt-trap

Neither do you understand the main mechanisms Indian govt uses to fund its fiscal deficit (no, its not directly external debt based by any stretch)....another hopeless subject for you ...."keeps on requesting foreign govts to survive"

A nuclear physicist literally has better chance of explaining positive void coefficient modelling to a toddler trying to put a square peg into a circular hole.....literally thats how effing illiterate and fact+logic-numb/feelz-driven you are.

No surprise how you run away when directly given evidence on the matter:

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/whatever.46703/page-4828#post-10263120

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/gdp-...september-quarter.531069/page-4#post-10056012

So maybe I have to post the evidence China borrowed 170 billion in one year sitting on 3 trillion of USD reserves? Will you run away then?

Or the similar borrowing characteristics of every other USD reserve rich country in the world?

Or the borrowing of the very issuer of USD liquidity (USA)...who according to you probably should just print any amount it desires to borrow that amount from foreign liquidity pools (heck why not trillions and trillions?) because seigniorage (another thing you know zero about apparently) apparently does not exist and hence why not just borrow endlessly more from foreign capital markets when you are the issuing authority in the first place?...why have a limit on it at all? Why have any study into monetary policy, M1, M2, monetary base and the rest of it?
Bluesky the genius has unlocked the alpha and the omega "logic" that forex simply accumlates from net borrowing lol. Man feelz definitely gets you places, thats for sure :drag:

Defense Update Bangladesh

Bangladesh Air Force ORDERED 8 Su-35 Fighter Jets From Russia

Bangladesh Air Force newly purchased 8 Russian Su-35 advanced multirole fighter jets. Previously BAF wanted to buy Su-30SME but later it choose better than that. Eight Fulcrum-F fighter aircrafts will boost Bangladesh’s air power in an unprecedented level.

Bangladesh Air Force ordered the Su-35ME variant, which came as a new derivative. The expected delivery date isn’t published yet. And Dhaka didn’t make any announcement yet, too. Hope, very soon both party will brief about this Su-35 dealings.

On the other side of the Moscow’s military diplomacy they sold six Su-30 to the myanmar air force. Russian news agency Tass reported that the deal has been signed during Russian defence minister Sregey Shoigu’s visit to the country. Bangladesh’s purchase of Su-35 may irk india. It is surely give an edge over the myanmar air power. But, indian air force may face serious challenge in the region due to advancement making by the Bangladesh Air Force.

Earlier we learned that a squadron of Chengdu J-10C are coming to BAF. Pilots are being trained in China, who will fly them. Usually Bangladesh Air Force counts 16 airframe units as one squadron. And, it was reported that Bangladesh bought as many as 16 J-10C which has been offered by the Beijing to Dhaka under $1 billion soft loan to buy Chinese military aircraft.

If Bangladesh buy Mig-35 then the house will be filled by the most advanced fighter aircrafts of the current world. Recently relations between Bangladesh and myanmar got severed over later’s genocide against Rohingya minorities. Dhaka strongly condemned burma’s military operation against Rohingya peoples which killed thousands of them and burmese troops torched almost all of the Rohingya villages in the rakhine state. And, almost 700 thousnds Rohingya peoples fled to Bangladesh to avoid this persecution.

Secretary General UN termed it as the “text book example of geocide” by the burmese military. During the military operation against Rohingya people burmese military helicopters violated Bangladeshi air space several times. Dhaka restrained from firing at those choppers and waited to see what international community do. But, pathetically world failed to punish burmese military junta.

Now, Bangladesh pursuing her own resolve to solve the issues with myanmar. If myanmar military failed to understand Bangladesh’s demands they must face a new military power than before they did. It’ll cost their national interests at large.

Changed the date from 2017 to 2018?
That's how fake news are circulated.

I do not believe anything that has to be posted by bdmilitary or Defence Update Bangladesh, PERIOD. They post many photos that do not mean that DGDP or Ministry of Defence materialises those items. Defence Update Bangladesh posted edited MiG-29 video saying that BAF did live firing exercise over Kurmitola.

Kurmitola falls under "Civil Air Traffic Control Area" which means if BAF ever fires a single round of AAM in any Civil Air Traffic Control Area then there will be serious consequences from International Civil Aviation Organization, FAA and other regulatory bodies such as CAAB. These kids run stories without realising that educated people are working in Aviation Industry, Civil or Military.

There is some truth about C-130, but no details are available by the RAF or Westminister. Again defence world quoted bdmilitary hence I do not believe a thing. bdmilitary should think about their credibility because people no longer believe rumours.

Source of truth are DGDP or ISPR or friends working in Bangladesh Military. Dialing +880171... from my mobile is very easy.
