Bad News For Vegetarians: Plants Can Hear Themselves Being Eaten

No big deal...Prof Jagdish Chandra Bose found it decades ago i.e sensitiveness or nervous system of plants. But then meat eaters kills two times i.e the animals they kill to eat first kills the plants and eats them in order to get bigger to be eaten!!

It is sensational heading. Correct scientific heading would be something like "plants respond to vibrations produced by caterpillars eating them" but it wouldn't be as sensational, would it be? They respond to vibrations of caterpillars but not to pain because they don't (and can't) sense pain due to lack of nervous system, which is responsible for "hearing" as well. This response might me similar to "touch me not" plant....

I tried chick pea halwa too. Tastes heavenly if done properly. But very fatty due to all the ghee.
