Just a day after the Indian government claimed that its army carried out “surgical strikes” inside Pakistan with the support of military choppers, a senior Indian minister retracted the claim saying “these did not involve any aerial operations.”

“There were no aerial strikes,” Indian Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, himself an ex-Indian Army man, told The Hindu during an interview.

Rathore said the Indian Army crossed the Line of Control (LoC) “on the ground” for carrying out what he termed were “pre-emptive strikes”. “That is not like crossing the international border.”

On Thursday, soon after the Indian military claimed that it had carried out “surgical strikes” against perceived “terrorist launch pads” on the Pakistani side of the LoC in disputed Kashmir region, the Pakistani Army ripped to shreds the Indian farcical claim as an “illusion being deliberately generated by the Indians to create false effects”.

Rathore’s remarks appeared to endorse the version of the army’s media wing, ISPR, which insisted: “there has been no surgical strike by India, instead there had been cross-border fire initiated and conducted by India.”

While Indian media grossly exaggerated New Delhi’s claim the Pakistani media, however, questioned its authenticity.

The Indian Express had called it a “defining moment” but said the government must now be vigilant to ensure that the “clamour for more” did not fuel an escalation in hostilities.

The Hindustan Times welcomed the strikes in an editorial headlined “Befitting response”, and said India would “take satisfaction from the revenge, served cold”.

The Indian army provided little insight as to how the entire operation was conducted. The media there, however, said the operation was a combination of heliborne and ground forces. Special forces were para-dropped for the operation, it added. It said alleged terror launch pads targeted were in the range of 2- 3 kilometres from the LoC.

Some Indian news websites, which mentioned the use of helicopters in the operation:

Well, things are getting clear

. . . .
Another equally interesting phenomenon can be witnessed at PDF
  • Indians are mostly absent
  • Some newbies are giving one liners
  • A few are giving side opinions
  • None is debating
  • None is trying to justify their official claims
Looks like Indians have started sensing how much fool their government is trying to make. Could India imagine India would've conducted a military strike on Pakistan and in Pakistan business would be as usual, stock market would be gaining (it gained 171 points) and on the other hand, India has ZERO evidence to show?

.
As claimed by indian media that their leadership watched the whole operation in delhi operation room, whats stopping them sharing with the same footages or they forgot to record it. Didnt expect indian army getting to that level.

.
The statement by the Indian Minister is entirely consistent.

Pakistani media putting spin for domestic audience...!

@Areesh @Dazzler @Windjammer @Side-Winder @DESERT FIGHTER @Bratva
1. Aerial strikes mean - strikes by the IAF. The previous release does not contradict this.
2. Since this is fiction, why worry about it? Spread the message all over the world and keep your guard down. :)

.
Didnt we say we paradropped on LOC and they didnt cross the LOC?

.
they could be para dropped within their own Lines and then the troops would have trekked into the Pak territory. All I could read was no aerial assets were used for the "strike" ( “There were no aerial strikes,”). But that does not mean no aerial assets were used period.

.
Its plan by indians for waging a war . I mean what that they will say in UN that they have my soldier we will have to do something and that something would a surgical strike or even war . And the international community cant object india over this ussue . Understand guys its stategic plan

.
Apparently you are not aware of full details.
US helicopters were not only detected but also shot down. There were atleast 12 causalities on American side (eye witness claims) due to helicopter downing. Out of two helicopter only one returned back to Afghanistan with Osama body (as per official story)

And it was not USA sole hunting mission, it was joint operation supported by few secret agencies in Pakistan. Helicopters were not only refueled twice with in Pakistan but wreck as well as bodies of downed helicopter & its crew were also removed immediately by Pakistan.
There are a hell lot to know about OBL raid, but for general public satisfaction, official story version is enough.
Rest you are most welcome to believe what ever come in your mind while revolving in your arm chair. :smokin:

There was no shot-down helicopter, no casualties. No Pakistani, individual or agency, knew about it. The PAF scrambled, but reached after everything was over and they found nobody on site.

.
Still does not make sense how come for a target that is only three km away . The special forces have to move 10 hours to reach it. If they faced resistance one can accept it . But it's simply does not add up lol. Also during such raids the main element is that element of suprize and stealth . And if you are for four hours in enemy territory and hike for 10 hours to reach the target . You will loose both and hostile forces will regroup and counter attack. There is a limit of indian lies lol

Also one soldier who somehow crossed the LOC by mistake is caught. And the entire company of 150 soldiers somehow remain invisible hahah comeon dudes get a life losers lol

They did not treck for 10 hours on Pakistani side of LOC. spent only Only 4 hours in AJK.

To maintain element of surprise they went on foot from Indian side itself. crawled through barbed wires and mine fields on both Indian and Pakistani sides.

Thats how SF work.

That one soldier wandered into Pakistan in middle of the day. These guys entered Pakistan through specific entry points, the ingress routes had been surveyed . They knew where Pakistani checkposts were.
