Yes, since at least the 90s. Ethnic Chinese have it relatively easier to migrate here. There's a reason why Singapore has always maintained around 75% ethnic Chinese despite our lower fertility rate.

I'm sure there are normal explanations for this. From what I remember Asian American population is small and tend to be liberal leaning. It probably varies between different Asian groups and who they interact with. In the end people should be free to marry who they choose.
