What's new

Back in UK...

Bro I always book the direct flight through skyscanner and never had a problem so far even though I travel 3 times a year to Pakistan,I like the flight because it leaves Heathrow late in the evening and arrives in Islamabad early morning,at the same time you can carry 40kg luggage while none of the other airlines allow more than 25 kgs.
I think we had the same flight....but not sure why it transit karachi ...maybe karachi wali wasn't full...but yea that was really annoying ..

I mean we used to take PIA from Bangkok and Singapore (once upon a time pre 9/11 days)...It was fine but that experience 8 yrs ago was bad

The area between jhelum and chenab rivers is called kirana bar and I am from Jhang district
O I thought you were just throwing random names hahahha...like some bar. Sorry

Also, the staff is not racist and meal is authentic Pakistani

That doesn't sound like what you typed...
May be they changed it later.. I remember we always called it Choon Choon ki Maliyan (which is a type of billiyan i.e. cats found in the area)

I don’t risk going on PIA with family anymore...too many bad experiences. Many times the flight from Lahore - London Heathrow stopped at Islamabad, Multan & Karachi to pickup more passengers !!! WTF! So many crazy stories to tell...can write a book on PIA

Gulf is 46kg. 2 x bags of 23kg and 1 x 7 kg Hand carry. Plus you get 1hr15 stopover in bahrain and bobs your uncle

lolz like some bus service!

The worst is when there is problem with the plane or long delay ...99/100 they will not give u a hotel room...they use delaying tactics just to save money. Passengers well-being is not in their list of priorities

Best of luck for future.

Your thought about showing your kids their roots and culture was a smart move. One day when I have kids, I'll try my best to expose Pakistani culture to them by having them live in Pakistan in their teen years maybe from 12 to 18.

So went to GP service to re-register myself and the staff were extremely cranky and pent up with frustration... worse than sarkari mulazim in Pakistan. Felt sorry for their husbands

You opened a Chaiwala? I quite like Chaiwala, I suspect you'll do quite well - May Allah give you success in your business. Which city are you in, if you don't mind me asking. I understand entirely if you'd rather not say.

People here do still consider IK the messiah - don't ruin it for people....lol

Private message me...I don’t know how to PM

PIA still have that horrible mentality. Customer service is not their highest priority....Other airlines are much more Proffessional

To each his own but I prefer our national carrier over other airlines because they don't stoop too low to create a hassle for me when luggage exceeds the limit by a Kg or two. On the other hand, these so-called ''classy'' airlines show their true face when your luggage exceeds by only 500 gram. Then the ''professional'' smile disappears and they ask you to pay or open the bag to reduce weight.

Allah ka karam hai bhai

Sometimes the words we speak come true. I remember bakra Eid 2014, I told my father that I want my kids to grow in an Islamic country and lo and behold 2015 next eid we were in Pakistan.

Another episode ... 2007 I was going to northern areas with family on LHR-ISB motorway and I said ‘Kaash yaha KFC hota’ and we turned into the next service station and lo and behold there was a KFC trailer stall lol...life is funny at times

My hand carry was over 5kg so One method I stumbled upon accidentally was putting the extra stuff in my coat pockets - I had 6 pockets so yeh
