Bacha Khan University attack: Terrorists are winning this war not Pakistan

I have lost a cousin and some very dear friends to terrorism. I have had to lift the lifeless bodies of the victims ( or what's left of them) and transport them to the morgue one was an infant and as a father I will never forget that day.

So to be frank I couldn't give a shit what you think of me. If you don't have anything constructive to say, please STFU!
Constructive? I am talking utmost constructive here. If I ask you to not find solace in terrorism not being the no. 1 killer then it simply means don't quantify terrorism with rankings. Even a single death by terrorism is unacceptable. And here are you trying to play down terrorism because it's not the biggest killer? That's lame.

.
A few days ago, I read a news that a 15 year of boy chopped his own hand off as he thought he committed blasphemy while the whole village cheered on him. Now how hard would it be to take people like him to the other side? I mean they're already brainwashed. The kid probably won't think twice to slit the throat of someone that he sees as a blasphemer. The real problem is religious extremism and that is why the battle is not limited to eliminating a few terrorists.

You are not effected by terrorism or it's cancer like we, we have committed to this cause for 10+ years, it's a long war for us, we have seen far too much death and despair on a daily basis, to you the number of Pakistanis killed are just statistics, pixels on the screen and ink on paper.

To us they are fellow countrymen and women, You lecture me about lameness? Do you know what analysis is, do you know what we live through everyday? Whilst you cannot fathom the horrors we bear witness on a daily basis. So sleep safe in the comfort of your hypocrisy and stop being lame.

You have NO idea!

True religious indoctrination is a cancer that needs to be confronted head on, it is not something you can just wash away in a day or two. The same applies to zealots and bigots the world over, from the US through to Japan.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Asim Bajwa on Wednesday said major breakthroughs had been made in identifying the terrorists who attacked the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda earlier in the day, reported Dawn news. The ISPR chief said the terrorists' phone calls had been traced and analysed, and that two cell phones had also been recovered from them. "When army reached the premises, all four attackers were alive. They were contained in the hostel and were eventually eliminated on the roof and the stairs," informed the ISPR chief. They had a lot of ammo, including grenades, he added. "Their call logs were analysed and an intelligence picture was established, with most data having been collected," said Lt Gen Bajwa. The carnage in Charsadda may not be on the scale of the Army Public School attack, but the intentions were the same — to deliberately, monstrously and wretchedly strike at the most vulnerable and to spread anger and fear far and wide. They must not be allowed to win. A greater resolve exists — that of the Pakistani people and the state that represents them — and it will prevail against the banned TTP. But there should be no illusions. This is a long war. It will not be won in a month or a year. It will be many years before Pakistan can truly be rid of the militant curse. But that reality does not mean immediate steps cannot be taken. Quite simply, the time has come for Pakistan to stop merely talking about better border management and demanding the eradication of militant safe havens in Afghanistan, and get serious work done on both fronts. The response by the security forces deserves praise, but the same cannot be said about the country’s security apparatus. The successful attack on the Bacha Khan University means that, despite claims to the contrary by the government and military, the operational ability of terrorists has not been damaged by the ongoing military operation against them. While condemnations have poured in from many in the government, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and with Army Chief Raheel Sharif visiting the site of terror, it is also clear that the government cannot guarantee the safety of our educational institutions. Attacking an event marking the legacy of Bacha Khan seems to also be an attempt to mock the non-violent legacy of the Pakhtun leader. The attack must be taken with the seriousness and commitment that the APS Peshawar attack was seen as. As schools were shut down in KP in view of the security threat and people took their children home, we must question how long we can continue to live like this. We have heard the rhetoric of a ‘fight back’ at all costs. But do we have a guarantee of eventual success? Are we hitting at the roots of extremism or is it growing in our country even as songs are sung and slogans raised? How many lives must be lost before we realise that there is something very wrong with the way we are dealing with out terrorism problem. The impunity that some extremist groups have is compounded with the fact that little real action has been taken to identify the root causes of our terror threat. How many more chemistry teachers are to die saving their students? How many children are we to sacrifice before history and politics teach us which way salvation lies? .

Bacha Khan University attack: Terrorists are winning this war not Pakistan
These types of attacks are self defeating in nature for the terrorists since they are now being branded as terrorists by the general population. This is the most important part in the fight against organized terrorism. Now these scums will find people's resolve and hatred against them, and in the process will be singled out and their hell holes being exposed to be meted out the punishment in this world to get ready even for more severe afterlife. This is happening with PKK in the Southeastern part of Turkey. With public vigil it'd be dead tough to have easy support base all the way from camps in Afghanistan to city centers inside Pakistan.

And here we have you still the believer of conspiracies even when the truth is out and kicking. What should your kind be called? Ignorant or Arrogant?
FB_IMG_1451985049466.jpg

And the same master servant bull shit again? Your ISPR and exNSA lied to you about having proofs and showing them to the world. When the time comes they shit bricks and find out all that was only for local pakistani consumption and far away from facts
They are lying and you are speaking truth?
We are not interested in learning "truth" from those who massacred innocent Children twice.
Shame on You

The moment they start attacking civilians is the sign that we are in the winning direction.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has asked Washington to drone Mullah Fazlullah and others involved in terrorist activities, including the most recent Bacha Khan University attack.

Security official sources told The News that Washington has been conveyed through its Islamabad mission that it must play its role in targeting the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists, who are using the Afghan soil for their nefarious designs against Pakistan.

The TTP terrorists are operating from the bordering area of Afghanistan where, it is believed, they have the support of Indian and Afghan intelligence agencies. Pakistan, which has offered huge sacrifices to counter terrorism, feels that it did not get the required help from the United States in targeting the TTP men operating from their Afghan sanctuaries.

The US authorities have been told that they should at least now be serious in targeting the TTP men in Afghanistan as Kabul continues to be under the influence of New Delhi. India is said to be involved in destabilising Pakistan. Only a few months back, Islamabad had shared dossiers of Indian involvement with the UN and Washington.

Following the Dec 16, 2014 APS massacre, the US had initially shown some interest in targeting the TTP men taking refuge on the Afghan side of the border. However, later the US again lost interest, and consequently the TTP continued to target Pakistan from the Afghan soil and now they have targeted the Bacha Khan University and martyred more than 20 students and teachers.

Pakistani authorities reject the proscribed TTP central spokesperson Muhammad Khorasani denial that the TTP and Mullah Fazlullah had nothing to do with the attack. The sources said that the mastermind of Peshawar’s Army Public School attack Umar Mansoor of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban has claimed the attack on the Bacha Khan University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Charsadda town.

Umar Mansoor – Taliban’s Geedar group leader and mastermind of the deadly attack on the APS Peshawar in 2014 – took Facebook and shared a post in which he had claimed the responsibility for the Charsadda tragedy, adding that four attackers were sent to the university.

Although, later Khorasani had denied Mansoor’s claim and condemned the attack, security officials are of the firm view that the Bacha Khan University attack had the complete backing of Mullah Fazlullah.

These sources said that Umar Mansoor, who had claimed the responsibility, later insisted that he got the go-ahead for the Charsadda act from Mullah Fazlullah.

To apprehend and target the perpetrators of the Charsadda terror attack, the army chief on Thursday called Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other officials. Initial investigations by Pakistani authorities have confirmed that the latest attack was being controlled from a location in Afghanistan through the Afghan cell phones by a TTP operative. - Originally published in TheNews

Its time we use our drones instead of asking them for drones , give them a tentative date with a deadline ,learn some lesson s from our previous mistakes, self reliance is the key

People complain about how army has failed to kill TTP in this operation, US has been killing AQ for the past decade in Afghan and they are still not entirely dead.

These arm chair generals need to have their keyboards snatched for a while and shown the sun outside.

You like many others wish to compare everything with US then please do tell us how many World trades happened after they started chasing Al Qaeda or any major terrorist incident do compare that too with Pakistan? They invaded two countries and destabilised a whole region and you must be aware of what they did in Abbottabad that happens to be a city of Sovereign Pakistan.......................

And for your information any one of these arm chair generals could be Syed Hamid who knows, because it is the common Pakistanis and their children that get killed.

do you need to see the Threat alert for Centarus Mall Islamabad?? because I can share the alert too ---
i receive them very often, but it is really hard to evualate that which one is crediable or actionable --- look at the date on Threat alert, it is from last month, alerts are handed out on daily basis and renewed ----so which one is going to be the true one is beyond me

This is really pathetic on our part if we have asked US to do our job for us. This also raises question marks over the capabilities of our armed forces. I think it wouldn't be wrong to say that we are all talks and no capability. I wonder what message are we leaving to our enemies that you can come and kill us as we are utterly clueless and cannot defend ourselves. The only threat we use is nuclear. I wonder whether that too is a bluff or we really do have anything.

Frankly I don't want to have much idea either. Though it's foolish to blame a commoner in Pakistan, like you, for the dual policy of their rulers, but it's the same commoner who will support blindly the terrorists of India in name of freedom fight irrespective of what they do in India. So as we say in India, Karma bites back. It bit even us with LTTE good enuf to our establishment understand the truth. Hope your establishment learn soon. But again I don't think they care. For them a poor pakistani isn't related to GHQ and hence carry no value.

We have problems. No doubt. But no problem must be and should be dealt with inclusion of terrorism or in zia's words, Bleed through 1000 cuts.

In US they actually have a real govt. that is answerable to people, a govt that can go above and beyond to avenge their citizens, a govt that can roll over countries who issue it open threats. Unlike Pakistan's who still hasn't found courage to call spade a spade after every proof provided to them so they dont hurt feelings of neighbors while own citizens can suffer all day. Granted Pakistan is no super power like US, but sealing mouth off when every country around issues threats and blames based on shitty evidence and not being able to respond is unbecoming of a nation. Everything has to be done by army be is political stability or lowering crime rate. This govt like many past ones are here for a single purpose, to earn and wait for next turn and people dont give a damn abt it anymore.

And for your information, people who wish to be syed hamid convey their concerns to actual debates instead of an internet forum where people like yourself barely read or understand the context and hit reply just because its only a click away.

So who can you really blame for so many problems, military? govt? In my opinion all this mess is responsibility of Pakistani people. They elected this joke of leadership knowing these officials have no spine, now they can suffer.
