Let me clear somethings for Pakistanis about Shaurya missile:

1)it is being developed with Israeli assistance.

Any proof of that or this is something Pakistanis tell themselves to soothe themselves of pain

2)it has a range of 700 nautical miles(1300kms)

It has a range of 700 km @ 1000 kg and 1900 km @ 180 kg

3)it can carry a 500 kg conventional or nuclear warhead.

Shaurya is supposedly land based version of K-15 'Sagarika' missile which has been tested more than 6 times and as recent as March 2012 and is in the process of inducted in the yet to be commissioned INS Arihant.

5)some of its components have been tested through an underwater missile test laboratory developed by Larsen and Toubro of the Gujarat coast.

Hardly. This is a Hypersonic tactical Surface to Surface missile with a speed of Mach 7.5. Nirbhay which is being developed and will probably tested this year can be said to be in the same class of Babur and Tomahawk

Brahmos is completely in different class. It is a supersonic cruise missile.

Although BrahMos is an anti-ship missile, it has the capability to engage land based targets. The missile can be launched either in a vertical or inclined position and is capable of covering targets over a 360 degree horizon. All cruise missiles are designed to be stealthy, and are designed to have pinpoint accuracy, including the Brahmos and the Babur.

I believe the more apt comparison would be between the Babur and the Indian Sagarika cruise missile, which is expected to be tested next year, unfortunately very little information is available about it.

They are:

Babur relies on stealth, Brahmos relies on brute speed. Both of them can be defeated but it is expected that Babur will not give itself away until the very last moment whereas Brahmos may be detected and tracked from some distance because of the heat signature.

Terrain hugging missiles are certainly more stealthier but anti ship Brahmos will be difficult to shoot down unless you have a sea sparrow kind of system.

We have more aircrafts under the sea than submarines in the sky....so anything that flies can be brought down and anything floating can be sunk. It is just how difficult it is to bring it down which matters.

An enemy ship around 100 nt mile from land will get max 8 sec to respond. 2 brahmos missile to naval ship is a nightmare for the enemy. Brahmos in Sukhoi...and enemy will only resort to submarines and cruise missile like babur.

I dont know about any missile but i saw the chief test pilot of some major defence corporation who the documentary makers challenged to fly in a simulation with a tomahawk missile....he was flying a euro fighter and after a few tries he did manage to keep up with the missile but only for a short period....later he said its impossible to fly that low for long as it requires immense concentration from the pilot but for the terrain hugging tomahawk it was piece of cake .

We do not know the accuracy information of BrahMos. But if the statement that Babur has "pinpoint" accuracy is indeed true, I would say Babur is superior because in case of Missiles, accuracy matters more than range or speed. Besides the "terrain hugging capability" makes Babur absolutely stealth.

Something for u..to see the accuracy of BrahMos..and this is a Russian Video consistng mostly of Indian tests..

BrahMos is highly accurate and agile(has been tested). The only drawback is its range.

That is why BrahMos is considered a very dangerous weapon in naval warfare and hence a number of countries like Vietnam and Malaysia are interested in inducting this.
