Babar missile test-fired last Wednesday

Mate, i am not saying it will not be able to be fired from subs. I am saying the process of its development is under way.

Technologically It will/IS(depending on what you want to believe) be able to fire from subs but Agosta's torpedo tubes are small for launching Babur. Babur has a larger dia. Thus the U-214, when it enters Pakistani service will be the first sub to be able to fire SLCM's.

Since pak produced babur and raad I guess they can make something that fits in those tubes. I doubt they will make something that importent depending on one sub type.

If the baburs are reverse engineered tomahawks(which they are to an extent) and have the same diameter of .52 metres then it is safe to assume that baburs can be fired from agostas with very little modification.


The following subs have 533 mm torpedo tubes and they all can fire tomahawks from torpedo tubes.

LA class also has VLS but can use their 533 mm tubes. Others do not have VLS and use their tubes to fire tomahawks.

sir you are a bit wrong here!

agosta can accomodate the babur in its current dimensions however it need to be a sub launch version!
the point is quite obvious!
you can not launch a land launch missiles from a submerged platform only when you get the dimensions right! other technicalities are involved and work is going on on these upgrades!
soon we will inshallah see a submarine launch version of babur missile

brother you are getting it all wrong!!

all the systems you mentioned as example are SAM systems ie surface to air missiles!

what we are talking about is a land attack missile! even if it is launched from sub the land attack missile surely is not meant to destroy flying objects!!!

babur is a land atack system brother!
