You are right. Not many people play hockey in Pakistan today and there is very little interest now. I come from school where hockey grounds held national tournaments. Even there, with such good facilities, interest in hockey is at best fickle.

I hear this everytime Pakistan loses to India in Cricket too ....

The hockey fans (real ones) in India are not satisfied at all. We defeated the Asian teams only S. Korea, Malaysia and Pakistan. Outside that we are miserable. At least Pakistan has defeated Argentina who in turns defeated Britain , highest rank team in the tournament. I am still worried about defence. Strikers are not converting the chances, even Sandeep's magic is missing in converting penulty corners.
