I concur 200%. Revolutions require entire gutting of the old guards.Islamically, a revolution could only happen if there's a rival establishment to take down the old guard. Rasul'Allah (SAW) established a parallel order in Madina before systematically taking over the other Arab tribes. In fact, when you look at the American Revolution, French Revolution, Soviet Revolution, and even the Chinese Revolution, there's always a 'new guard' with pre-established government, institutions, and military to supplant the old one.
We'd literally need to see a new Pakistani gov't with its own assembly, constitution, and military rise up, and then forcibly supplant the old one. That would require sincere elites and generals to break from the status-quo's ranks.
How did the French, Soviets, Chinese or even the Americans progress ? Revolution and replacement of the old guard. If this means inhilating entire segment of population let that be. Country first.
Here when we were children, we thought Mwalimu Julius was bad with his policies; but they worked in the long run. No unstability like the rest of Africa. Land ownership is on lease - noone is allowed more than 1 home. Taxes are collected. Yes, we have poor people but good of heart. Our late Magafuli was not afraid to tell the chinese to go up a tree where his countries' interest mattered. We have one unified language. Ask a person or woman or child who he/she is - Tanzanian. Enforcing Swahili as a single language - in just 2 generations, there is no home language or tribal sense left. Where is Urdu... let us think about it? English is left right spoken. Because of us, Swahili is now center stage and a language across 10 countries and it continues to evolve because Julius enforced an institution dedicated to its evolvement.
Omani delegation was here 3 years back - of course we are tied to the hip with oman from a culture and history - what a pleasure it is to see Omani Oil minister speak in swahili.
Yes we are poor but proud because our leaders gave us good examples. Yes, i have cursed Mwalimu Nyerere in my life but as i now look back, i appreciate what he lay for us as a foundation.
Pakistan needs soul searching. the way things are - these army dogs and their death squads will be unleashed more - first Balochistan and now the rest of the country; they did a good job to hide and insularise news; now everyone sees what kind of animals these are.
We always appreciated Pakistan from a cultural connection here. But now it is a voice from past.
