The visiting Azerbaijan delegation pledged its country’s solidarity with the Kingdom in restoring legitimacy in Yemen.
Saleh Heydarov, leader of the Azerbaijan parliamentary delegation, who met Shoura Council Deputy Speaker Amin Al-Jaafri here on Monday, said the Kingdom, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, is pursuing a wise policy based on spreading peace and stability and working to resolve outstanding issues including the problem of legitimacy in Yemen.
Besides current regional issues, talks between the officials of the two parliamentary bodies were centered on improving bilateral relations.
Al-Jaafri pointed out that the Syrian problem also has to be resolved to maintain peace and security in the region.
Meanwhile, the Shoura Council called on the Ministry of Education to revise the syllabus of the Arabic language in the school curriculum to boost the morale of Arabic language learners.
The 29th session of the council was held Monday under the chairmanship of Al-Jaafri.
Speaking to reporters following the session, Assistant House Speaker Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Samaan said the syllabus should be designed in such a way that new language learners should be attracted to learning Arabic.
The council was going through a report presented during the session by Committee of Education and Scientific Research Chairman Mishal Al-Sulami in the light of the regular report of the Ministry of Education for the year 1434-35.
The house also said that it was in favor of giving administrative and financial independence to the departments of education in different parts of the Kingdom.
The council urged the Ministry of Education to coordinate with the Ministry of Civil Service to streamline job descriptions and create new jobs in medical, nutrition, mental health and administrative areas.
It also urged the Ministry of Finance and other concerned bodies to support the Ministry of Education in the implementation of the Council of Ministers’ decision related to the school health program.
However, the council rejected a recommendation of the committee to honor male and female teachers who die or sustain injuries in traffic accidents while traveling to and from schools to their homes.

Firstly my dear friend, you can't call a part of your own community whom you speak the same language, have the same ethnicity as your ally.

Azerbaijan is a sovereign nation.

In December 2010, both countries signed the range of treaties that makes each other guarantor in case from an attack by third forces.[13] The Treaty shall enter into force upon the exchange of instruments of ratification and valid for 10 years. In addition, the term extended for another 10 years if in last 6 months is not notified of the termination of the treaty.[14]

More than 20 Turkish defense industry companies have cooperation and commercial relations with Azerbaijan.[15]

In January 29, 2013, TAKM (Organization of the Eurasian Law Enforcement Agencies with Military Status) was formed as an intergovernmental military law enforcement (gendarmerie) organization of three Turkic countries (Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey) and Mongolia.

I don't think Azerbaijan even cares about Yemen, this is just politics.
in 2 days, Iranian defence minister will visit Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan, will never be in a game against Iran, as it also rejected Israel before to accept their army base.
But recently, DUbai Sheikh came to Baku and Azerbaijani President visited S.Arabia. Azerbaijani government need cash money to keep them in power. otherwise, there would be devaluation and that would take the people out. As im told, Gulf countries rented huge area for 99 years and want to invest in Baku. I believe, Iran should play or offer better deal to keep them away..

I'm not sure about the renting thing, also Azerbaijan isn't in dire need of cash to go that far.

Iran relations with Azerbaijan has been improving in past 2 years, hope the trend continues.

I believe, instead of going against Iran, they want Azerbaijani government to be more open to Salafi mosques and religion in Azerbaijan. WHich is im definitely against it, because in a long run, we will see the real terror attacks which we see in TV now..
AFter these visits, i feel like they feel more comfortable to walk around in the city.. , because, before government accepted them as a treat..

Bildiyin işin dalınca get ay uşaq, ağzına gələni danışırsan. Not the first and not the last of your moronic comments.

Rejected what? There was never such a thing.

Did you thought too much of this BS story you repeat? The amount of revenue losses from the drop in oil prices would amount to $5-6 billion, not an extraordinary situation. Oil extraction in Azerbaijan are cheaper than many countries, lower oil prices still means profit. Azerbaijan has tens of billions in oil fund too. In short, there is no shortage of money for the government.

You have to show me a source about your claims. "As I'm told"?

Honestly, I did not want to reply to this thread, since this news is only coming from one source, which is from Arab news, and they are infamous for changing words of the news, making up BS fake news, ... If there was going to be any serious change in foreign policies of Azerbaijan, the president himself would have declared it when he was in KSA.

1. As you said, there was never such a proposal from Israel and/or Azerbaijan and it's just made up stories.
2. The foreign currency and gold reserves of Azerbaijan is 50+ billion dollars, which if we subtract Azerbaijan's debts, the surplus of foreign currency and gold is close to 50 billion dollars which is about 2/3 of GDP of Azerbaijan. Obviously, there is no shortage of money, and changing dollar-manat exchange rate was because of accumulated inflation rate difference, and not shortage of money!!!

Not to mention the budget has been set accordingly to $50 per barrel , meaning no loss of money from the reserves.

APA - Head of Central Bank: No major changes in exchange rate policy of Azerbaijan are expected until end of year
Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. “Major changes in the exchange rate policy of Azerbaijan are not expected until the end of 2015”.

The chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov said at the meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), dedicated to the government's report on the activities in 2014, APA reports.

Elman Rustamov that the Central Bank of Azerbaijan devalued manat because of lower oil prices.

"The events in the external environment influenced on manat. In fact, it should be understood that the devaluation, the correction is not subjected to manat/dollar but to oil prices. After a sharp strengthening of the manat against the euro, we went to the bi-currency basket. Naturally, this process has given some flexibility in the exchange rate, which immediately began to be felt in the market. We have witnessed a great rush. To eliminate the hype we have recently been forced to spend every day for about $ 500 million. If we consider that our foreign exchange reserves amount to little more than $ 10 billion, then you (deputies - ed.) can calculate how much time it would take to suppress the excitement. This is one side of the issue. Our calculations showed that at this rate, about 70% of the dollarization manat supply in the country could be transformed into dollars. These reasons could lead to loss of control over the rate of manat. In such circumstances was decided to hold a correction rate of manat. I believe that this decision serves the strategic interests of the country. In the case of non-acceptance of this decision, we subsequently had to go for a more assertive devaluation", said E. Rustamov.

The head of the Central Bank also noted that the decision to conduct devaluation is extremely important in terms of maintaining macroeconomic stability and economic diversification.
