Azerbaijan & PAF to hold joint exercise

This is off topic but whats the upside down E in the text? I thought Azeri is just like Turkish language. Is there a difference?

.
This is awesome, we need to create a strong trilateral program with Azerbaijan and Turkish air forces. There is always something to learn from exercises and for this reason PAF should become a regular visitor to TurAz exercises. Sending JF-17s is also likely because there is renewed interest from Azerbaijan in this platform, participating in an exercise against Azeri air force is one way to display its credentials in a realistic environment. Overall, our close ties with Azerbaijan need to be institutionalized for military training etc.
Isn't it in Azerbaijan that India was said to be acquiring a military base....whatever became of that.

. . . . . .
Turkey sent 6 F-16s and 3 F-4s for the current TurAz 2015 exercise in Azerbaijan

PAF will prob send 3 of each

... @Windjammer

Annually at every TurAz exercise held, Turkish continent consists of:

Air Force:

6x-10x Combat aircraft (F-16C/D, R/F-4E 2020)

Numerous cargo aircraft and ground crew around 200-400.

1x Air Force CSAR Team

Land Forces:

2x UH-60 Blackhawk
2x AH-1W Super Cobra
(Most likely ÖKK might be involved too)

Turks, Azeris, Kazaks share the same ethnicity, culture and language. Azeri language is Western-Oguz originated which is a Turkic dialect. Simply, we are blood brothers, genetically. So language and culture is common.
