ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday requested the chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain to withdraw motion aimed at de-seating Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, ARY News reported.

According to details, Ayaz Sadiq telephoned Altaf Hussain and requested the MQM chief to withdraw motion against PTI, so that an air of reconciliation could evolve in the assembly and the way of confrontation could be abandoned.

He praised the role of MQM for democracy, while Altaf Hussain sought some time to discuss the matter with party members.

The MQM chief said his party believes in the supremacy of the constitution and the law, and will demonstrate foresightedness on this matter too.

Addressing a public rally in Patoki, Imran Khan said the judicial commission’s report has proven the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) incompetent.


Taking exception to Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and PM Sharif, he suggested the prime minister to himself make decisions, adding, “Tehreek-i-Insaf will return to the assembly bagging a number of votes more than what it secured in 2013″.

Khan once again expressed his determination that no one can stop Tehreek-i-Insaf from bringing a change in the country.

The focus should be on parliamentary system and keeping it as stable as possible "given the circumstances".

I believe we should trust masses to do the "ehtesab" or accountability.

Look at what happened to PPP. This was the best accountability that they got wiped out from most of their constituency.

Same thing will happen to other parties as long as parliamentary system is allowed to function.

Most of the top leadership of Rabita Committee endorses Altaf Hussain speech. Its no secret but actually was reported on the TV. The rest of the post i agree. Nawaz has learned nothing from his past. He just couldnt let any opportunity pass in which army is not marginalize.
