Excellent footage Cabbar!

Can you please post the url for this video? This one needs to be favourited!!

MuradK, the first lock-on that you see on the Hud is a HAF M2000. The rest are captures of lock-ons against HAF F-16s as seen from TuAF F-16 HUDs.

What you are referring to is a different incident. Both TuAF and HAF engage in mock-combat and this one is a bunch of HUD captures from the TuAF side.

If I am not mistaken there was no lock-on, since the weapon mode selected was on gun, there was as brief moment when missile mode was selected but there was no lock-on.

Maybe MuradK sir could clarify for me.

Sword friend you are very right, The pilot in the first clip is not very bright just because he is flying an F-16 does not mean he is a good pilot why. His fighter was at a very slow speed and he did'nt pull more than 3Gs he was at 3 for 1/2 a sec and the mirage pilot as you can see did not take any evasive action in all these conditions he still could'nt get a missile lock which is the easiest in an F-16 specially when you dont intend to fire you go for missile lock it makes the mirage sensors go nuts . Well some will say he was to close no he was'nt the mirage was a perfect target for both Guns and Missiles. See the 3rd clip f-16 is pulling 5+gs and he locked on to his target.
If a war is not declared Mock engg rules say that when you intercept a target you do not fire until fired upon, you may select a target lock on to the target so the the target knows that if it was war he would have been killed, lock on to the target for 5 to 10 sec and release target. Now these idiots lost 2 F-16s couple of months ago just showing off and both of them collided and one pilot died. I am amazed at both the countries that last year they had 23 of these mock engagements. Can you imagin India and Pakistan doing this every month

Another news I dont want to open a new thread so I will just put it here.

The F/A-22 continues to excel in operational testing at Nellis AFB, winning lopsided victories in contests in which it been outnumbered 8-to-1 by F-15s. It shot all 8 F-15s most of the F-15s went down without knowing where the F/A-22 was. Not Bad haannn.
