মানবিক বিবেচনায় ভারতকে এই সুবিধা দেয়া হলেও তা স্থায়ীরূপ পেলে বাংলাদেশের রফতানি বাণিজ্য ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে বলে আশঙ্কা বাংলাদেশের ব্যবসায়ীদের। ব্যবসায়ীদের মতে ভারতের পণ্যবাহী গাড়ির বহরকে অগ্রাধিকার দেয়ার কারণে সীমান্ত অতিক্রম করা পর্যন্ত বাংলাদেশের রফতানি পণ্যবাহী ট্রাকগুলোকে অপেক্ষা করতে হয়। এতে বাংলাদেশের রফতানি ব্যবসা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে।
