@Luftwaffe do we have a thread running for some orgnaizations which can be given charity for their work? Ermm...Ramadan is coming need to give zakat


Thats a good idea...can you post a copy of the list here or even if they manage to get united in some form so I dont need to look around whom to donate....

500 is nothing actually...I was actually going to transfer some money to my dad incase I dont get visa in time to visit them for Ramadan so they can give zakat from me....

Almost all our Zakat goes to Pakistan...my sis gives in UK while my mom used to give for some Masjid in Canada (her friend was some member of some women association...)

When I complete the list and all the information I will post a thread you'll be first to know hope to find enough information.

I don't know about such Threads there was one for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital but you can pay to SKMH online and if you have free paypal account it is an easy way. You can walk in to fatimid foundation their officies are all over Pakistan take your money and get a receipt from them, similar for SKMH they have offices, salani welfare trust is another very reputable trust for helping poor people...I won't give to eidhi I feel other small/medium organizations needs help as well eidhi their hands are full and they have fixed alot of money.

My dad gives to Edhi coz that man is really a dear soul...He has been working for other all his life....that is some commitment other organizations havent shown...maybe they are new...and he deals in all different forms of giving ...why dont other organizations just team up or something? each can learn from the other...not a competition all is done for the mercy of ALLAH...or for good will..

Salaries are usually quoted her as a per annum number. $96000/yr or $8000/month

I plan on making a list of cancer clinics across Pakistan and than give the list to SKMH talk to them if they can merge in some way or cooperate for shared donations these small clinics/hospital needs help/guidance too SKMH can provide them, I hope to find good information.

Not against all molanas but generally we used to hear if someone get sick get a goat a black one a fat one i later researched what nonsense was that came to know from Hadiths and respect scholars there is no such things as goat and other stuff even a smile is charity/sadqa so paying even 500 or as much as you can afford if you have problems, difficulties or someone is sick that'll do... only zakat is barely 2.5% fixed which is nothing in 365 days.

if you have enough money i have a plan for you , why don't you work on providing computer education to schools bcz i am sure most of the schools atleast in villages would not have computers which are of great importance.

you can buy one computer for Rs 25000 INR @ max , so if you provide each school with atleast 10 such comp you can finish the project with a tight budget of max 4 lakh .

you can start an NGO which would provide computer labs for schools with poor infrastructure , you can provide 1 lab to a school with a budget of Rs 5 lakh (comps , room , furniture )

in one year you concentrate only on one or two schools max and the funds can be arranged by the help of your other NRP friends and other pakistani philanthropists.

projects can be completed at a very fast rate , its my dream to start such an NGO in india one day if i had enough money to do so.

I earn around $6500 after deductions/payments/etc, my wife earns around $4800 after deductions/payments/etc. We donate monthly $100 to St. Jude Cancer Hospital, We also donate $200 to an animal shelter in Pune.We also donate around $800 shri krishna missions in LA and denver for their food arrangements every year. I pay yearly Rs 5000 for Cash Scholarship for my School in India and Rs3000 Scholarship for Vernacular school in my hometown.

I will eventually do more once I move back to India, I plan to open a school one day.

My field average salary for a decent freshie is Rs 45,000 to some genious fucks i have to pay upto Rs 65,000 on top of this benefits such as medical, life insurance, petrol, lunch.

2 years in this field and you can easily command 1.5 lacs like its a piece of cake.

2/3 bhk at a good locality will cost anywhere upwards of 60 Lakhs at minimum unless you are looking beyond the outskirts . Buying a home worth calling a home is biggest challenge our generation faces .

very true... in Pune 2 BHK will go to 70 lakhs and 3 BHK above one crore....so for downpayment atleast 20-30 lakhs are needed....
