I made a video of all the Photos published on this thread..I am not that expert and somebody on here can do a better job...If anybody can make a better video please do so and post it..
Our contribution will be to Keep the incident in media spot light for some time...At least on the internet...So that our shameless media doesnt forget all about the Buried soldiers and put Mr.Horse teeth in the spotlight...as they have been doing until now.

Or is this picture on taken from the other side?

Nice video, but maybe you can edit it on the part that said not accessible to heavy machinery, because dozers and snow ploughers have reached the area.

Update Gayari Rescue Operation

286 soldiers including 60 civilians alongwith dozers and JCB (used for digging) are employed at the incident site for rescue operation. Effort is further being beefed up. They have so far cleared one platform measuring a 40 feet length, 30 feet wide and 10 feet deep. 5 helicopters are taking part in the operation while heavy machinery, additional manpower including technical experts from National Disaster Management Authority and Strategic Planning Division have been moved from Islamabad via C 130.

An expert team comprising 3 individuals from Switzerland is arriving tonight to assist in rescue operations.
Another disaster management team comprising 6 individuals alongwith necessary equipment from Germany will also arrive Islamabad tonight.

when an avalanche takes place and you are in its way it allows you to glide on the surface and not get sucked into the wake.

I don't think you've seen what an avalanche looks like. There's no 'surface' to glide on. Here....from 1:00 to 1:58.

Snow turns to ice within minutes burying you in an icy tomb. The bottom line: You're screwed!

I agree that one must have hope, but it would be wise to prepare ourselves and the nation for some bad news.

Swiss and Us professionals are already in Pakistan to help in extraction of any possible survivors.Now the Swiss, as we know, are very professional, capable and equipped in matters of snow so all we can do is pray.

this doesnot look good i hope that causalities are minimal but still i am praying that most make it out alive but the freeze, frost bite and lack of oxygen makes things veryyyyy hard
