By the way, these drones don't need GPS to know their location. Thanks to the KERKES Project, they can recognize geographical signs and match them with the maps stored in their memory. Therefore, they can work even in the intense EW environment!
The only way to stop them is with a direct hit. Therefore, they are much more sophisticated weapon systems than they appear.
Unmanned drone is nothing new. Wing Loong II operated by UAE slaughtered loads of GNA soldiers in Libya.
Unmanned drone is not new, but they have human controllers (in a safe base somewhere) and these controllers will be the ones deciding if and when to pull the trigger in a conflict... on the other hand autonomous drones (as reported in this article), or its AI, can choose to pull the trigger by themselves without any human intervention (or orders)...
A human operator might choose not to open fire on a target due to various circumstances, like the presence of civilians close to target, hostages held by target, target has surrendered, dangerous materials in the area (nuclear/biological/chemical), etc... on the other hand autonomous killer drones will likely not care (or be aware) of such circumstances and will continue to attack the target indiscriminately...

These drones do not attack without orders. There is some misinformation here. These drones detect and track the target automatically, that's true. In this respect, they are autonomous. However, they do not attack themselves, the operator must give this order.
The question is, when was this order given? Was it said to attack the targets in the coordinates you went to, or did the operator give the order to attack after identifying the targets himself? That's the question.
Bullshit….A vassal country on 4 legs is guetting a lot of credit…., who ever killed the Haftar sidekick is among Haftar crew….God damn Turkey you cold hearted.. No wonder Hafter and co retreated they ran into a horror incident and also the first laser weapon ever was used in Libya
If that's the case then why is this even in the news..? All killer drones more or less operate that way... The drones search, detect and track the target, while their operators then make the final decision and be the one to pull the trigger... all kill responsibilities will fall to the human operator in this case..
I suspect this became news precisely because it didn't happen that way... and that these drones actually search, detect, track AND attack the target autonomously without any human operator on the loop... basically it's the drones themselves that made the decision of when to kill...
That... or this article is actually just some bombastic rumors and propaganda disguised as "news'..
