Auto policy approved, door wide open for new entrant

.
So, any updates? Any new entrants on the market yet, or still waiting? :D

. . . .
Well obviously it will take 1-2 years to set everything up.

You really should read your own links. The parent companies have not confirmed the Pakistani claims, and the timelines to have the cars on the market are simply too ambitious to be realistic.

Nishat have signed an MOU with Hyundai i don't understand why them or other companies would lie.

From your own source:

"It was not clear how much capital Hyundai, South Korea's largest automaker, would itself invest in the Pakistani venture."

"........the deal was "subject to applicable statutory and regulatory approvals"."

Has Hyundai itself said anything?

Sigh i can not force you to accept anything sources are there reliable sites like Reuters and Bloomberg have reported these stories last year you were pessimistic about new entrants and now that we've confirmation of 3 new entrants coming you're again not ready to accept it hopefully when the next year or from 2019 when these cars (InshAllah) will be manufactured or assembled in Pakistan maybe than you will believe it! :)

You may need to buy a few cars and make the CEO of the company drive it to our friend waving a Pakistani flag, then there is some little chance that @Syed.Ali.Haider may accept the reality.

I think the reason for the slow start up maybe the rocky political environment in the country. The only thing the pmln are focused on since last year are saving their own hide.

Approved Auto policy and taking it further is the last thing on their mind. Which in itself is a tragedy because there will always be some political termoil looming in this country and every major economic policy could go sideways due to politcal immaturity.

The reality, thus far, is that the parent companies have not confirmed the local announcements, and as a result, what I say seems to be correct. :D

(Just like about loadshedding, and JF-17 exports, and many other things. :D )

Sorry perhaps you didn't wanted me to see this or respond on this (otherwise you might have quoted my post when replying to my comment):woot: , just got here by chance again. :)

  • Dont know what you said about load shedding.
  • About JF-17, you do not believe what the parent company is saying and want the customer side to confirm it to you personally
  • In this auto maker deal, you do not believe the customer side and want the parent company to confirm it to you personally.
So just to mention the "reality" the deal for JF-17 is already confirmed by MULTIPLE SOURCES, blogs and defense sights. There is a web world out there more credible then Indian def forum :P The first planes will be delivered in 2018/19 most likely. Unfortunately i might not be able to fly one to USA to show it to you but i remember the promise i made to you a year or so back, will surely tag you when the first plane is delivered. (I hope you want ask for the contact details of the journalist covering the story as i might not be able to get the Air Chief Marshal to confirm this as a private text message to you.)

Same for this auto-maker ventures. I have worked for Nishat in the past, you can count on the venture between Nishat and Hyundai to go online in around an year's time or an year and a half. Same for at least two more projects. Please note that this thread, the discussion this argument originated from is based on the auto policy. You know what that policy is mentioned as? Auto Policy 2016-21. :D

.
I can wait. :D

Let's see when new entrants actually enter the market. No rush.
