Australians interested in Turkish SOM missile

Turkish authorities briefed a group of visiting Australians on the capabilities of SOM missile. Australia is almost certain to order the SOM-J variant to use aboard their F-35s.

So I guess Chinese air defence won't go through. We can't sell som missiles for f35 and at the same time have Chinese air defence. The som missiles we are selling to Australia is aimed at China. Major feature of som is to destroy air defence without getting the jet in danger.
