Do you personally support such a move - - selling Uranium to India ?

Is it such a big political thing in Autralia that they are even willing to loose billion of dollars in cash ?

It's not a big political deal in Australia, infact it's rarely on the news. We tend to stick to our guns in Australia, Australians don't like nuclear weapons so we want every country to sign the NPT this is why we have refused to sell uranium to India even if India states it's for nuke power.

Money is irrelevant to us. We aren't going to go against our values for money.

What do you mean by this? "Last laugh" You are acting like India is winning something. The only reason the government would lift the ban is because it chooses to and NOT because it was forced to. Australia would live the ban because the government wants better relations with India and the government is generous.

Thats the key.. Pressure is there..Lets see how long they are able to handle it.. With in 2-3 years we will be in the "Clubs "...It will become increasingly difficult for Australia to deny us Uranium with more Indian investments in mines there and the "Strategic " partnership both countries have..

Pressure is irrelevant as well. Our government does whatever is in the best interest of Australia, and if a mutually beneficial deal becomes up, our country will take it.

No i didn't. You obviously mis-understood my posts. I was speaking about my governments position. Australias governments position was that uranium would not be sold to India for the foreseeable future.

We are 2 different people there are also indian members who have different views on this forum.

That's correct, we don't speak for the Australian government, nor the majority of Australians and i haven't been trying to. In the posts he is referring to i was simply stating the current public position of our government which he mistook for my own personal opinions.

Yes it may go against NSG..There may be loopholes..i have not seen the draft. Earlier also, NSG had regulation, even before US warmed upto India. Russians have helped us before when the whole world turned their back on non NPT states.

We have to grow one way or the other..We cannot let NSG cut back our growth can we??

Nothing you just wrote made sense and you clearly have no idea about Australia whatsoever.

1. I don't know anything about China transfering nuke tech illegally and if it's true our government would have condemned it.

2.What do you mean by "We pay you" Who pays Australia? The U.S? No.

3. There is already a global recession. Australia is the only western country not in recession so i don't know what you mean by "Hold out any longer" We are not holding out from anything. Our economy is booming.

4. China hasn't bribed/ paid off our country so i don't know what you are on about. Start making sense please.

Australia isnt in recession because of China naw will it go into recesson.

Australia may lift ban on export ??lifting ban on export since 2years.Are they lifting something else ?? i always maintain that we must cut our ties with australia.. what are our interest in OZ except some ores and taxi driving licence. As a 3rd world ,we must develop and enhance our ties with same class like africa,southamerica ,central asia etc..It doesn't matter to them we cut ties with australia,there are many to fill void.....
