Why just Christians from Syria and Iraq ?

How about accepting Christians from other countries like South Asia where some Christian Communities have been suppressed and endangered ?

There are plenty of Pakistani Christians and Hazara's in Oz and NZ.

like the part of family in USA having great success there
you cannot summarize the attitudes of a few uneducated people with majority of people

and no, these christians are Iraqis they are not australian. their history is there in Iraq.

i would hope in a more modern world we would not care anymore what is our religion and what is our ethnic

There are members here who are saying that it is racist for Australia to accept Arab Christians. They are accepting them due to the refugee situation , if you all look at the UN refugee migration patterns, you will see that many countries are taking all refugees, be they muslim, christian, etc.

Yup , same for the Palestinians , time to move their asses. Nothing left for them there, Gaza is bombed every other day, West bank will soon totally be occupied by Israel. They should move to Pakistan/Saudi Arabia or whoever is willing to accept them, they would have a much easier life too. Same is true for the Chechnyans, Muslims in Myanmar, Muslims in Central African Republic , finally , Muslims in Kashmir. Everyday , these people get bashed, smacked and killed by the army, they are better off moving to Muslim countries, they will be much happier there
