First of all, some people of the world are rightly suspicious of some elements within the Government of Pakistan. This is not suspicious of ALL the Pak Government; and this is not suspicious of the good people of Pakistan. Few people have suffered more from recent (as in: last 5 years) actions of non-state actors and wishy-washy policy by some members of the Pakistani government as the actual Pakistani people. In the effort to improve the lives of the people of Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan may need to clean house. (For which nation is this not also true? It is verily true for all nations.)
*IF* Pakistan was committed to war on terror, then finding 'bad guys' like OBL would have been a serious priority.
*IF* Pakistan was committed to placating rogue elements then protecting bad guys like OBL would have been a priority.
It can't be both, as the Pakistani government isn't trying to do both at the same time. Pakistan is not two-faced.
If some people in the government knew where OBL was, but was not trying to apprehend him, then those people are not working towards making a stable Pakistan that can improve the lives of her citizens. Forget about world opinion, people of Pakistan deserve transparency within their own government and an inquiry needs to happen.
This is just my opinion, but it's an opinion that has no ill will towards any government in the world. I care about people, no matter what flag they salute.
