China is already moving to the next generation submarines in SSK, SSN and SSBN.

They have only 6 Aegis type destroyers while the rest of their surface fleet is full of outdated junk. China is already building the type 055 cruiser in addition to the type 052C and type 052D destroyers.

China's older submarines could destroy the entire Japanese Navy through the sheer numbers China has.

The advantage is shifting to the Chinese military rapidly and nothing Japan does can stop this.

China has advanced ballistic missiles in short range, medium range (DF-21, DF-25), intermediate range (DF-26) and intercontinental (DF-31A, DF-41). Chinese cruise missiles force is already very advanced that can deliver it from air, ship, sub and land.
