An Australian tourist has gone on a bizarre rampage on a busy street in Bali, before he was tied up and detained.

The 26-year-old tradie was filmed fly-kicking a local, knocking him off his scooter on the holiday island early this morning.

He then jumped onto the bonnet of a moving car and kept running as stunned locals watched on in Kuta.

The man, identified on 7NEWS as South Australian Nicholas Carr, was arrested over the rampage.

Kuta police chief Teuku Ricki Fadlianshah told 7NEWS Carr also allegedly attacked a man as he slept and smashed windows at a mini-mart and restaurant.

“Our team are still at the crime scenes investigating. Many places were (allegedly) damaged by him. Our team are still working to check all the places,” he told 7NEWS.

Carr remains in a Bali hospital recovering from his injuries.

His flykick victim, Wayan Wirawan, luckily sustained only minor cuts and grazes.

“I was on my way to work. Suddenly a foreign man kicked me. I was extremely shocked. I don’t understand why did he do that,” Mr Wayan told 7NEWS.

“I got some injuries and couldn’t go to work today. And my motorbike got damaged. I hope he (Carr) could give compensation to fix my motorbike.”

According to 7NEWS, Carr is yet to be interviewed but is expected to face a number of charges.

It is the name of the place ... what does Lahore or Karachi mean?:crazy::crazy:
What does Lahore or Karachi mean?:crazy::crazy:
Every name has meaning. Since Kuta is already a well known word in Urdu I am curious about its meaning in Indonesian @war&peace :cuckoo::hang2::hang2:

As far as I know it doesnt have any meaning, but when I look up on a dictionary it means haven or harbor.
In Urdu it means a dog. This word is used frequently in our part of world when we are cursing at other people:laughcry:

First time I heard of this name was when I saw street in the west named after this place. It made me chuckle because I thought it was named in Urdu after a dog. Only later I realized it was named after this place in Bali. Since westerners frequent Bali often they must be familiar with this place

Really? An Aussie drug pusher ended up at the front of firing squad some years back. What did the world do? They cried as if we were punishing a saint.

It ain't matter what race or nationality. Yo do bad you get bad things.
That Australian was probably non caucasian Australian.

.
Asian governments dare not hurt more superior race.

More superior? I don't know about you but we Indonesian do not recognize racial superiority (It is not in our culture to define people by race to begin with). Are all equal to our eyes.

If by superior you mean Caucasian/white race then it's still a NO.

We take our country back from white race by hurting them, we wage war against white nations in the 60s. And currently we have a "trade war" with EU over CPO. That is not a sign of feeling inferior.

Indonesians may have flaws but white worshiping, yellow worshiping or whatever is not one of them.

That Australian was probably non caucasian Australian.

Dare not on Caucasian eh?
