Aug 29/30 Conflict between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladhak.

.
I am not trolling we are tired of your made up stories like killing 50 Chinese and shooting down an F16 if you want to post here post with a credible source don't feed us NDTV bs ....... how is this possible that China will keep quiet about 14 casualties and not take revenge by killing a few Indians your claim seems to be fake bs ..... unless verified by a credible source
same way like they kept quiet for their 40 plus casualties and now proofs are emerging.
Its their official policy to hide casualties.

The Indians specialise in giving slow dose of shocks to their public....last time they initially admitted to 2 Indian soldiers being killed then it was 8 and finally 20+.......adding the captured figure even later.
Give it a few days and Modi will show his magic again.

... India has had very short conflicts since independence , while China has had its last conflict with Vietnam in the 70s.
A likely conflict will not count casualties in scores but in thousands. IA and ordinary citizens will have to get over this counting syndrome and focus on objectives.

Pakistan had a decade long military conflict with a super power in Afghanistan in the 1980s and won while China has been locked in a military brinkmanship with the US for the past two decades.

Which super power did India confront in it's history for a decade, Sri Lanka?

From reading the Indian media lately, some very sane voices among them, there is now a clear admission that not only the Chinese had intruded but they also hold dozens of sq km of land India claims and that the Chinese have no intention to vacate those areas. Options presented by some of the Indian commentators include :
1) Just resign to the occupation and keep negotiating for the return of the land.
2) Launch operations to grab some Chinese land where the Chinese positions are relatively weaker
3) Work with the Quad group to threaten the Chinese supply lines from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean; in that regard, some even suggested allowing deployment of the Quad forces in the Indian islands in the Indian Ocean.

But looking at what has happened in the last 1-2 days, the Indians are going for #2 and negotiate if India grabs Chinese held land.

At this point, it is extremely important for Pakistan to not accept any 'brokered peace' between India and Pakistan, even if KSA or USA mediate. The least Pakistan should accept is now not even the Restoration of the Article 370 in Kashmir but of a globally guaranteed peace in Kashmir with the deployment of UN and trusted nations' troops in all of Kashmir, including Pakistani part of Kashmir, and allowing freedom of movement of people between all sides. Build on that for an eventual peace.

Admire the Chinese who dont care if they lose hundreds of soldiers as long as objectives set by their seniors are met. Also the Chinese try to maintain good relations with neighbors by concealing their own casualties. Very noble.
War isn't about kill count, but achieving your objectives. Soviet Union suffered more casualties than Nazi Germany, but they won the war. If losing several hundred soldiers are the price to pay for victory, then that's the harsh cost. China lost about 185,000 men in North Korea, but we fought Americans to a standstill. By the way, China issues better protective equipment to its troops than India, not to mention better accommodations/infrastructures to make their lives easier. Seems to me like you're the ones that don't care.

"The failure of three months of military and diplomatic dialogue in persuading Beijing to withdraw its troops from Eastern Ladakh was underlined on Sunday when hundreds of soldiers of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) crossed into the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) south of Pangong Tso lake, occupied a mountain called Helmet Top and began building fortifications.

Credible government sources say Indian soldiers from the nearby Thakung post intervened, to try and prevent the PLA from building defences. Physical clashes followed, though there are no reports of firing or casualties on either side.

Sources say, the PLA now occupies Helmet Top, as well as a nearby feature called Black Top, both of which are on the Indian side of the LAC. From here, Chinese soldiers can observe and track Indian movements across the Pangong lake and as far away as India’s tactically vital Chushul garrison.

“On the night of 29/30 August, PLA troops violated the consensus arrived at during military and diplomatic engagements… and carried out provocative military movements to change the status quo,” said the Indian army on Monday.

“Indian troops pre-empted this PLA activity on the southern bank of Pangong Tso Lake, undertook measures to strengthen our positions and thwart Chinese intentions to unilaterally change facts on ground,” said the army statement.

“A brigade commander-level flag meeting is in progress in Chushul to resolve the issues,” it said.

Indian officials, however, are keeping silent about a counter operation, launched on Sunday night by soldiers of a secretive Indian commando force called the Special Frontier Force (SFF). Consisting of soldiers recruited from the Tibetan refugee community in India and formed into what are termed “Vikas battalions”, an SFF detachment is reported to have occupied key heights that China claims as their own.

There are differing accounts of what transpired but, according to one source, the SFF detachment clashed with Chinese troops and inflicted significant casualties on them. One Tibetan SFF officer was reportedly killed and at least two injured in the operation......."
