I am truly surprised with the statement made by DG ISPR. i know how much US has influence on Pakistan armed forces..so something has just cleared & out of Bag! China is new US for Pakistan.

US wanted Bases and airspace very near to CPEC. China must have have given some surety without it Pakistan Armed forces would not have responded the way they did.

Yes maybe but there were only a couple of options available. The generals knew they had to work with what they had. And that is why some of the outcomes were disastrous example, TTP sitting at the borders of Islamabad. The situation was bought under control but after a lot of bloodshed and sacrifices.
