'Attack again, and I'll launch a missile at Ben Gurion airport'

There is nothing in Syria to smoke anymore!:lol:
So this will be taken seriously.. add the fact that the message will be transmitted through Russia.. a disguised message!?
yeah, agree to some extent to your first point. However, just as @Sinan pointed out :
This reminded me of ;

Damascus says it will shoot down Turkish warplanes in Syria

One day later Turkish jets over Syria;

LOL The tyrant Assad has made such claims hundreds if not thousands of times against Israel, but he has never done what he said. , I can't blame him to be honest he knows he stands no chance against Israel. So why take the risk? It would only lead to his removal from power, something he fears more than any love he has for his country Syria. His main objective is to remain the president of Syria for as long as he is alive, so him attacking Israel will only jeopardise that ambition of his and lead to his quick downfall. So any talk of 'Attack AGAIN and I will launch missiles at Tel Aviv or wherever' is bullshit. We all know this, only a fool/nave delusional person will believe that.
He has made similar remarks about Turkey, saying if Turkish fighter jets dare invade Syria's airspace he would shoot them down, few days later Turkish jets were all over Syria and they are still flying there unchallenged . Lmao :rofl: Only a fool will take this buffon seriously :lol:

Yes, it does go against. I don't know why they went that way.

Even in Iran the leftists of the Tudeh Party were initially supportive of Khomeini's revolution of 1979[1] :

Confusingly, another Leftist Iranian group called Mujahideen-e-Khalq[2] sided with Saddam's Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war :

and post-Saddam Iraq, MeK got together with the American occupiers of Iraq[2] :

What confusion !!

So based in this the safe conclusion is that real politiks takes priority over ideology?

Yes, I suppose in that part of the world, political survival took priority over ideological strictness.

In 2015, I had a few talks with a senior leader of the CPI(M) - Communist Party of India ( Marxist ) - and he also wondered why, in Iraq, the Ba'ath Party ( who are supposed to be progressives ) oppressed the Iraqi communists ( also a progressive movement ).
