Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Weekly Status

Thanks but this can stop if we take four major measures:

1- Turn to plant-based food (As much as I love non-veg, it is the truth and scientifically proven)
2- Stop using petrol vehicles
3- Disproportionately resort towards 3D printing as an alternate to manual manufacturing techniques
4- Enforce population control measures. You guys in China did it really well; we need this in India, Indonesia, Pakistan and the Arab & African countries.
actual with respect to CO this is not going to change anything

see USA produces more CO than all africa despite Africa population being 5x more

similarly india produces more CO percapita than Pakistan despite being vegans

switching to electrical car wont help if coal chuns in the power to power that car

so what will change this trend

1. illegalized coal immediately for developed country and large countries like india china which has the capital to go for alternatives, short term alternatives are combination of natural gas and renewables..this can happen within this decade
MEDIUM TERM
2. combined research in battery technology rather than fusion
3. allow fourth/fifth gen nuclear fission plants to go online which cannot be used for weapon development and inherently meltdown proof
LONG TERM
fusion research

If CO2 increase at this rate and we can't stop this trend then after few centuries earth will become unsuitable place to live @undertakerwwefan
actually by 2050-70 diasaster will hppen as most of sea shore cities will sink

You are right.

Could you please explain point 3? What do you mean by online?

Do you mean creating a real-time monitoring interface for IAEA to have access? If yes, then the problem is IAEA wants access to all nuclear plants including military ones.

Given the fact that you, we and Israelis don't accept NPT (let's face it, it is fcking discriminatory), we cannot allow them access to designated military nuclear plants. But they won't accept only access to civil nuclear plants which we are ready to give them (only as observers; not as controllers in any form).

But vehicle pollution is a major menace for India and China. Chinese are addressing it very well and fast through rapid implementation of EVs in commercial and personal vehicle segment. Here in India it is much slower. But if we both collectively reduce vehicular pollution, there will be a significant change.

US has become a menace to global climate with Toupee planning to pull out of Paris Accords. Despite having companies like Tesla there, ExxonMobil and Chevron have way too much control on both Republicans and Democrats to actually let a full-fledged

As for power generation, both your and our problem is that majority of power comes from coal plants. We need to get moving towards nuclear fuel capability. That is the only way to ensure perpetual energy without any threats. It should be 70% nuclear and 30% renewable at least by 2040 - meaning a complete departure from fossil fuels.

In the coming 10 years, we see a massive change in nuclear energy generation. India is second richest in the world in Thorium reserves.

It is slow, but once it succeeds, it is bye bye to energy imports.

____________

I did a basic research online and found out that China despite its excellent measures, still emits more CO2 than USA and Europe combined.

Correct but China has 3x population of europe and USA.

Fushikema reactors were second gen that needs pumps etc to cool it down that draw power from grid

Pakistan/china new reactors are third gen with off grid pumps and gravity base cooling but both have pressurized water

Gen IV are pebble based uranium recators in which ceramic pebbles have uranium that are not radiactive at room temperature. These
Have no risk for meltdown and are not radioactive but effiency is lower

Thorium and molten salt are also considered gen iv reactors

___

Think about this as follows..somone made a mobile phone in 1960s but it was too heavy so we have decided never to make another mobile phone...

The unfortunate event of 1980 meant all reactors stopped and all research stopped..had research continued and nuclear weapons not been in the picture today we would have already been on 100% nuclear power
