At U.N., Trump warns U.S. may have to 'totally destroy' North Korea

People on here are going to look stupid when they wake up one day and find out North Korea is on fire. There is a much higher chance of this happening now than people here are willing to admit.
it will not be "only" NK on fire. trump is nothing but a fool.

. .
Syria couldnt defend itself but NK can attack the South and send some missiles, even to Japan, different situation, dont you think?

We'll see what happens. I used to think we're bluffing, not so much anymore.

You don't think the US military haven't taken this into their calculation? That's not going stop them from steamrolling Kim.

Well a nuclear war is inevitable now... its not the question of if but when?
every one with stakes should b prepared NOW
Pakistani's have been claiming that for over a decade now. I feel sorry for their country being the punching bag that it so very well deserves.

UNITED NATIONS — U.S. President Donald Trump warned on Tuesday that the United States will be forced to "totally destroy" North Korea unless Pyongyang backs down from its nuclear challenge, mocking North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as a "rocket man" on a suicide mission.

Loud murmurs filled the green-marbled U.N. General Assembly hall when Trump issued his sternest warning yet to North Korea, whose ballistic missile launches and nuclear tests have rattled the globe. Unless North Korea backs down, he said, "We will have no choice than to totally destroy North Korea."

"Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime," he said. He urged United Nations member states to work together to isolate the Kim government until it ceases its "hostile" behavior.

A junior North Korean diplomat remained in the delegation's front-row seat for Trump's speech, the North Korean U.N. mission said.

Turning to Iran, Trump called the 2015 nuclear deal negotiated by his predecessor, Barack Obama, was an embarrassment and hinted that he may not recertify the agreement when it comes up for a mid-October deadline.

"I don't think you've heard the last of it," he said.

He called Iran an "economically depleted rogue state" that exports violence. The speech marked his latest attempt to lay out his America First vision for a U.S. foreign policy aimed at downgrading global bureaucracies, basing alliances on shared interests, and steering Washington away from nation-building exercises abroad.

Trump, who entered the White House eight months ago, told world leaders at the 193-member global body that the United States does not seek to impose its will on other nations and will respect other countries' sovereignty.

"I will defend America's interests above all else," he said. "But in fulfilling our obligations to other nations we also realize it's in everyone's interest to seek a future where all nations can be sovereign, prosperous and secure."

Reading carefully from a script, Trump said the U.S. military would soon be the strongest it has ever been. Turning to Venezuela, Trump called the collapsing situation there "completely unacceptable" and said the United States cannot stand by and watch.

Trump should learn Nixon ... of course i know he won't.

And Kim Jung-un is very wise ?

Yeah...Real smart in provoking a fool that is in charge of the world's most powerful military.

I think its funny how people here hold the US military up to a perfect standard. If we were to lose even 1 aircraft, or life against NK we've somehow failed. It's like how people still yap about the F-117 being shot down, even though 99% of its missions were a success.

The fact that they hold the US to the perfection standard while not holding themselves to the same says more about them than about US. Basically, it says they are in no position to criticize US.

in every war there are many things which cant be calculated accurately specially when you are messing with a nuclear power. this war wont be like afghanistan or iraq. you never know kim launches preemptive strike after getting reliable information through her intelligence resources about US invasion. the other major factor that cant be calculated at all is the response of china and russia. russian support for assad against the US launched terrorists in syria took US by surprise and US puppets are facing defeat in syria.

not an economics expert but i dont think petro dollar is going anywhere till the time the OPEC is in US hands. the arab majority leaders are their pockets.

If the biggest oil market and consumer do not want the US dollar and wants to project its own currency, what choices one got? Its the matter of either comply or lose the market to competitor. West itself is gradually heading away from oil by introducing electrical cars, and I believe Norway made it a law to ban all petrol/diesel cars by 2024.

With oil market shrinking in west, what other options the Arab sheiks got?

You are witnessing your soft power eroding in front of your eyes. Thank you for helping Pakistan out, because this is an outcome that could not have been achieved through a million speeches by hardliner maulvi types. People will be paying more attention to Imran Khan when he tells the U.S. to keep its money to itself.

In Syria, U.S. has lost the battle of wits and Electro-magnetism against Russia. At least for now.

People on this forum have been making this prediction since I have been here from '09. You will need admin's help in data mining to see how many times those predictions went wrong. So what make you think yours is any different ?

I am not making predictions.

Just referring to recent news. In case you missed it, or unaware, this is a week old news:

China aims for dollar-free oil trade
Yuan-denominated futures would allow crude exporters to dodge US sanctions

Expect tons of dollars coming back to your federal reserves in future. Hence the need for war right next to China and Russia.

Soft power comes and go with personalities that changes every few yrs. The harsh reality is that hard power always remains and always is the final arbiter of a country's influence.

its not going to happen overnight. the major powers are fighting proxy wars in middle east for the sake of oil.iraq war, creation of ISIS, civil war in syria, killing of qaddafi , russian support for assad in syria are all for one reason and that is to secure and control the oil supplies.
