At least 75 killed in bomb blast at Quetta Hospital

First and foremost our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of all killed in the vicious terrorist attack in Quetta. We pray for complete and quick recovery for all who are injured in the blast.

Ambassador David Hale condemning today’s horrendous and despicable attacks said, “This brutal and senseless attack on civilians, so many of them lawyers working to bring justice to their country, will not undermine one of the most important pillars of Pakistan’s democracy and civil society. We know this attack will not weaken the determination of the Pakistani people to create a secure, stable, and prosperous country. The United States stands with the government and people of Pakistan, and is committed to supporting them in the fight against terrorism. We support Pakistan's efforts to bring to justice those behind the attack.”

Thanks for your sympathies mate...

The group which has claimed responsibility - what is the cause that they are fighting for? What do they want from the State of Pakistan?

Baluchistan is a region where joining hands by all kinds of terror group ranging from Baluch terror groups who are fighting for gaining control of Baluchistan and its resources to sectarian terror groups like LeJ to TTP to many other such groups, is for gaining power.

Now almost all these groups are working as proxies of different international powers. Now you can imagine what are the main goals of all these

Oh I forgot to mention that it is the group that had executed the suicide attack on Wahga border wherein over 60 Pakistanis were killed

so the intention was to kill as many lawers as possible, but why?

also im under the impression you feel this was not the work of a terrorist group but a non state proxy. is that right? and terrorist groups are quick to claim responsibility and you say a couple of differant groups have already claimed responsibility.

am i right ?

You keep undermining Pakistan and then make claims otherwise

Matthew Craig Barrett was caught spying on sensitive installations and expelled but he sneaked back into Pakistan ( for reasons best known to you ) and has been caught again

What's the pull that brought him back to Pakistan after getting caught and expelled once ?

Well, I dont know who is behind this but lets hazard a guess it was RAW or some Indian agency. If I remember correctly, some days back around 4 militants were captured in Kashmir all trained in Pakistan and ready to support 'Freedom Fighters' in Kashmir. Now, hypothetically speaking, when India supports militancy it does not goes well with Pakistanis. Upshot is perhaps what Rajnath said in SARC meeting - We all should stop supporting these freedom fighters. Both India and Pakistan have dissent in their respective nations. We will do better by stop fanning them.

Pakistan has been rich feeding grounds for hundreds of thousands of jihadis for decades. .there are anti shia groups, anti India groups, anti ahmedi groups, anti Christian/ Hindu groups, anti Iran go ups, Anti China groups, anti Afghanistan groups, anti moderate groups...besides a host of uzbeks, chechens, tajiks etc..Not to mention the various taliban factions including the punjabi terrorist groups. ....Pakistan had been one of the primary migration routes for terrorists joining isis via Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran

Under their anti terrorism drive, the Pakistani forces have captured and jailed around a 100 thousand of suspected militants in two years, killed 2500 of them in bombing raids, probably hanged a few and put thousands on death row. There are still scores and scores of them moving around. .

In the 80's, they blamed it on yahoodis (Jews - Mosaad) for terrorism? Then the blamed CIA, MI6, the recent trend is to blame NDS, RAW.

Fact of the matter is the wahaabi scenario and the mujadeen scenario that is deeply entrenched into their society backed by a renationalisation policy introduced by Zia and Butto . To add to it, the kashmiri militancy - leaders of whom secretly pledge allegiance to daesh.

Terrorism is a hydra monster because it's self sustaining in men material and ideology. The more number of heads they chop..The more number of heads grow...that's how advanced global jihad has become.

Every cent collected by the JUD / LET collected on streets and mosques of Pakistan indirectly also funds the killers of Pakistanis.

just watched cnn coverage of the incidence... Hussain haqani was there to blame it on pak army....

I have not such pathetic and lame journalism in my life... OMG. this is equalent to blaming victims for the incidence....this is worst than journalism... they are the fifth column trying to blame atrocities on their rivals, while no body is saying that whole living TTP leadership is sitting in protection in Afghanistan for several years now.....

and Hussain Haqqani introduced as ex Pakistani embassador to US... OMG.... if any one is willing to pay 10 USD for this guys mother, I am sure he is up for the sale.... what a loser....I have not seen such a kanjer in my life

after watching cnn I am now 99% sure that target is cpec and who is behind this attack

Not off the mark at all. It was traditionally Pakistani army that colluded with CIA in 1980's to form Jihadi militia against the USSR in Afghanistan. The propping up of Taliban to exert control over Afghanistan was also a strategy of Pak Army. and so was the use of terrorists in Indian Kashmir and Punjab . अब कोयले की दलाली में हाथ तो काले होंगे ही. With creation of so many terror groups for different strategic objectives, there is bound to be a blow back some time. So Haqquani is not wrong in saying that Pakistan Army is responsible to some extent for the extremism and terrorism in Pakistan.

there is a saying of a sufi poet in Punjabi I want to share with my celebrating indian friends

"DUSHMAN MARYAN KHUSHI NA KERYE, SAJNA WE MER JANA"

Meaning "should not celebrate death of an enemy, friends are also going to die"

this is not the end ,,, u are here and we are here as well... don't celebrate pain, u will regret it for thousands of years to come....over and out

Clearly, it is a complete mess. Any cause where you kill innocent people is not going to win you plaudits or support. These are just divisive tactics. I understand the BLA - their cause if sedition. I don't understand the cause of the rest - do they want to overthrow the Govt in Pakistan - like the Maoists in India?

That's what. Today there was a crossfire between an armed group of what later turned out to be gangsters and local police forces in Hyderabad. Initially, information came of suspected ISIS sympathisers and local army units were put on informal standby.

The threat is common now, for India and for Pakistan. And that is why Kashmir needs to be settled at the earliest. To meet this threat which is non-state and arises in rooms and dormitories.

Settlement of Kashmir means- return of pre-2008 situation in Pakistan- Where clerics were openly calling the establishment thugs on the parole of Kuffars and went up to the extent of establishing an Islamic state in Swat- With people in the establishment mutinying here and there and upto the level of Musharraf's personal favorite SF team- And making attempts to kill prominent persons in establishment- like the attempt on Musharraf- And everything is fresh in the memory- the Tribals have their homes bombed and they have become refugees- Any step showing anything less than "Kashmir banega Pakistan" means even worse situation than pre-2008- At least last time there was hope of democracy- We can only imagine the reaction now that both major parties have failed on governance and corruption fronts-

Also we should keep in mind that the drubbing IS seems to be getting lately means they are already there lurking about for right moment to Jump upon the scene-

take your pick buddy
we are here to debate and argue with differing point of view
all we got is our theories and conjuctures based on our own opinions.

as for why.. the answer is simple.. to become relevant and cause distress and alarm .. the terrorists and criminal cartels (as an example) do outrageous atrocities to become main topic of discussion.. the leading flashing and breaking news and social media talking frenzy is like feed for them

they targeted some shia lawyers back to back.. which is normally done by sectarian terrorists belonging to same school as , Al Qaeda , daesh and Taliban are which although resembles the Saudi official religion but they are mortal enemies of the Kingdom as well
.. and then there is BLA which also randomly targets teachers, professors, merchants, laborors to make its mark ...

why? reasons are no different from what Daesh is doing in West , Middle east , Africa and here. they feed on chaos..
