What's new

At a time when Pakistan Iran relations are tanking, Saudi minister land in Pakistan.

I dont buy it. Iran's main ally is China, i cant see China allowing this.

This is more likely to be Afghan, a home grown plot or RSS

China unfortunately isn’t a bully like USA when it comes to its interests being spoiled. China Tried so very hard to avoid india clash for decades until india left it no choice pushed it into Ladakh incident

And just look at Iran behaviour recently, when Taliban got rid off its no1enemy USA next door to them. Iran reaction was one of being totally gutted usa had gone Taliban in charge so they ran to India next day with joint threats

Now, seeing these facts you still reckon Iran sees Gwadar CPEC as a good thing

Have you ever heard of United Nations, International law, and Diplomacy?

Its not that simple that you can airlift military personnel just like that. :disagree:
Funny have you ever seen them help Muslims? When east Timor rose against Indonesia how quickly the UN acted to create an independent state. But here people like you are questioning my understanding when UN is a white man's thuggery club designed by the rich and powerful to collectively subjugate and destroy smaller weaker nations and use international law to asset strip them.
UN acted against Iraq. Why? Were the wmd?
UN forces in Korea
UN and Vietnam.
UN resolutions against isreal..has a single one been acted upon? Why.
UN on Kashmir ????

So please stop talking non sense

What I don't understand is why Pakistan needs Saudi Arabian help to tackle a rag tag country like Iran. Pakistani nation should come out of this crippled state.

East Timor has already been against Indonesian since 1976 since we invaded the land with military force and control the land using our military might. It is our President Habibie who led East Timorese to decide their own fate.

You can keep saying they did not do it but it does not change the fact that they did and do.

They first started sending assassination squads to kill the old regime members who had fled Iran. Even DHA Karachi was not spared where there was a mini-war with rocket launchers ( I have seen those houses with my own eyes ). This was in the early 80s when Karachi was relatively peaceful. Not sure what you mean by not buying.

After it became a challenge to send their own kill teams they turned to the local Shia population and began developing and funding groups within Pakistan. Relatively quickly the Saudi Machine kicked in, which btw was already well established but focused primarily externally towards Afghanistan and elsewhere. They took that pre-built infrastructure and turned inwards.

Jhang became a major flashpoint but there we allowed another external third party to get involved and it was not India.

Lastly I agree I am hoping Iran will see the light with a little nudge from China. But in this entire calculus what everyone here fails to see is the Persian effect. Notwithstanding the revolutionary issue with the Iranian regime, the key here is that the Persians have a bit of God complex. They have a rich history that they always bank on. Even the Mullah's will revert to their fire and light worshipping ancestors when they need to establish their unique culture outside of Arab influence and that cultural difference has more to do with the Shia and Sunni split than anything else. The Persians wanted a dogma that was not subservient to the Arabs, so they took a political difference and gave it a religious color. The rest is history.

It is this Persian mindset that thinks it can tangle with everyone, so though China can have a moderating influence, dont discount Irans long arc view of the importance of a weak Pakistani State to advantage Iran. For them a strong Sunni state is worse than a strong Hindu state because a Sunni state has the greater potential to materially impact their system of governance and politics than a Hindu state.

I think his visit could be related to rumored visit of MBS as chief guest on 23rd March Parade.

Could not agree more. Shiaism is just a facade for Persians to protect their culture from Arabian onslaught.

There might have been talks of Pakistan assisting KSA in Yemen (or cooperation in general) and Iran decided to pre-occupy Pakistan via Afghanistan with a pinch of India in the mix
Have you stopped your hate for Pakistan?:)

make yourself a cup of milk tea, enjoy it while browsing every single thread or post made by me and show me where i once showed hate for pakistanis :)

I sadly cannot say the same about a select group of Pakistanis/Iranian and Bangladeshis who spew the most vile stuff, but i am sure you are well aware of that already.

Everyone is looking for financial advantage and UAE is doing what UK or a few rest EU countries are doing. Last year Pakistani govt traced 4500 undisclosed properties of Pakistani in the UAE. All bought through money laundering, where the Pakistani govt has no record of such financial transactions. UAE govt refused to provide detailed info of all sales and detailed info about those properties demanded by Pak. One of the most famous examples is Zardari's and Isaac Dar, ex-minister of finance huge plazas in Dubai. Imagine the most notorious girl Ayaan Ali or Reham Shah carrying millions of dollars in their personal baggage unchecked by UAE authorities at the airport.
If we have corruption on our end, then you have massive state-sponsored corruption on your end too, to attract money laundering from other countries. That is the reason UAE is under FATF grey list watch. Please keep in mind no one is against UAE people or govt, they are doing what others are doing...there is no such thing called a friendship, it's all UAE is protecting personal interest.

I agree with you that the United Nations is not fair all the time.
So what do you suggest? Walk out of United Nation then?

The smart way is to play along with the Great Powers and find a way to beat them at their own game.

True, Through Thick and Thin, Saudi’s did help Pakistan even when your own country men were pushing for Iranian agenda.

Recently, On Syria, Yemen crisis. Pakistan embarrassed Saudi’s when they seek help and wanted to form a coalition of friends. A show of force and unity. Still they handed a financial lifeline when Pakistan requested help.

Problem was they wanted to use Pakistan as a tissue paper and fight their conflict and they (Arabs) lead the charge -- I don't think that would be acceptable in the structure of command it'll be like sheep's leading the lions. Hell with them Habibi's.
