This is another crap story created by BAL high ups to save Liaqat Ali from the rope of the hangman. If the Major was indeed what now the news report claims, it must have been investigated by the proper authority, Police would have remanded him for questioning.

If he was involved in criminal activities, the normal practice is to issue a Court Warrant to arrest him, and send him to a competent Court for a fair trial and hang him if found guilty.

Now, this BAL Police Liaqat alone is simultaneously a police, an investigator, a Notary Public, a Magistrate and a Hangman all by himself. BAL is hiding behind false allegations to hoodwink people.

Sri Lanka was a country since at least 500bc. It went by different name but the territory didn't change. Sri Lankans saw each other as one country and one people. Long before this concept was used in the South Asian mainland. One of the earliest examples of Brahmi script comes from Sri Lanka. Mughals will never capture Sri Lanka. Even the British with the huge technological headstart couldn't conquer Sri Lanka militarily so had to use dumb naive nobles to overthrow the king.
