Next year will be worst for SK. Trust me. The only way SK can save it, is to abandon US allies and pledge allies with China. Kick US out and allow a Chinese overseas military base in SK. China might consider drop the domestic chip production since a steady supply of chips can be obtain from allies.

China have no problem with South Korea's alliance with US as long as it is not used against China. Also, China have no interest, before or now, of installing a military base in SK. Whatever South Korea needs to do to improve its economy sustainability China will not hinder itself by not building a domestic chip production. China's path of development will not be derailed by silly bargains like that. Telecommunication equipments now, memory chips in near future and CPU/GPU/Advanced-AI chips in the future.

China definitely has problem with SK and US alliance. Reducing US sphere of influence in North East Asia is as important as building memory chips. US shall go back North America continent and stay there. Asia belongs to Asian.
