Asian nations to ink big Chinese-backed trade deal on Nov. 15, covering around a third of the world's population

EU nations states are getting more benefit under hegemon of Germany than stand alone. Else they would not submit to Germany supremacy.

Yes, it is unfortunate for these smaller nations that they lack a unifying cohesive agency to secure their self interests when dealing with the big brother. Most nations in this pact have little say for their own economic well being and lack of any viable alternative. Maybe we might see an economic coalition among nations left out of this treaty and those who dont want to commit all their eggs to a single Chinese basket.

Germany is quite transparent in its intentions and dealings. They are no longer the greedy, power hungry and expansionist force they once were. German philosophy is mutual prosperity for entire Europe. Hardly the same can be said about the CCP.

Yeah. But using robot in garment, shoes , airpod assembly factories is even more expensive than using workers wt 300-430 USD per month.

For phone/car factories, then Samsung ,VinFast also use robot , workers just do checking and testing plus packing .

And even when Samsung also use robot to manufacturer phones, but they still move to VN due to high labor cost, plus trade war in CN, bro.
Just wait for 2023. Vinfast? Gish, you guys don't own any core tech okay, stop masturbatin like the yindoos.

whatever, Vinfast cars is good enough for VN market till now, no big problem so far.

And Samsung also use robots to manufacturing phones like in CN, no different. The only big different that make investors wanna leave CN is that they dont wanna waste their money for high labor cost and trade war

Congratulations to India.
India successfully withdraw from RCEP, otherwise it will be delayed again and again.
You dont understand. India successfully isolated not just China but 14 other countries! Truly a superpower. Next India will take its rightfull place as the leader of the European Union.

Having travelled and lived across a lot of Asia, I can very well attest to the negative impact to local populations of countries who sign such trade deals. Normally this means that the citizens of all nations other than China can no longer compete with Chinese sellers and service providers in their own home turf market and many cannot adapt to this disruptive change. All the mom and pop stores have to close down, most small businesses close down, retail is hardly profitable anymore and almost everything in e-commerce stores are serviced or operated by Chinese vendors. All the small nations are just opening their markets for cheaper Chinese alternatives at the cost of their native populations interests. It is better for India to grow slowly but comprehensively and protect the opportunities available to Indian citizens first. In the current scenario, India is still largely dependent on Chinese imports but there are a lot of Indian middle men who benefit from this trade.
No pain no gain. No trade treaty benefit all Indian. Some Indians win, some lose.
When China signed WTO in 2001, China suffered a lot. Now China is biggest beneficiary of WTO.

India can wait until ready, or only sign treaties with countries other than China. When India negotiate EU or US, India doesn't have much bargain chip, India is a smaller economy and less developed country.

India isolated herself from East Asia value chain, other economies will benefit from China investment and technologies, as well as huge market.

India missed globalization for past 3 decades, how many decades India can wait?

Opportunities come to those who are prepared.

This wasn’t political move,Indians may be delusional but not it’s government

Any reason why Pakistan did not join this trade agreement?

do not allow India (very loyal colonized dog of UK/US and the Western world). India is like a trojan horse.

World's largest free trade agreement signed in coup for China

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) includes 10 Southeast Asian economies along with China, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and Australia, with members accounting for around 30 per cent of global gross domestic product

India pulled out of the agreement last year over concerns about cheap Chinese goods entering the country and was a notable absentee during Sunday's virtual signing.

MY QUESTION: WHAT HAPENED TO THE QUAD?????

HAHAHAHA. :D :D

Now the priority is to help the poor Indians to develop their lives. Around 700 million poor Indians who are mostly spread across rural India need local grassroots level development that does not come trade from treaties. The tready will only benefit 100 million or so Indians directly or indirectly but majority will lose opportunities to come up in life. India will wait and agree to a treaty that can protect the interests of India's small scale retailers because this sector is one of the largest providers of employment in India. When the market of India is more lucrative, Indian govt will propose or join a treaty that is fair and beneifical for everyone involved just like the EU.

India joined the WTO in 1995 and China joined in 2001. Look at the difference between the 2 countries now. Miles apart.

Let's wait and see man, when the AI and automation robots kick in, we will see if cheap Vietnamese labour can compete. We already have a few dark factories with almost no lights switched on. 100% automated with only skeleton maintenance crew.
Well chinese hallmark is slave labor. If factories are replaced workers with automation and robots, then china will be the biggest loser.

Thats true, Cnese still have jobs now instead of being taken away by robots just bcs CN Govt keep using stimulus measures to pour money to the companies and force the companies keep paying salary to the workers.

But stimulus measures cant last long cos it will raise the debt. Thats why CN govt start letting those companies like Youngcheng coal miner collapse. Its a waste to keep paying 1,000 usd per month for the workers when the companies can not make any profit.
