ASEAN Defense Industries, Comparison among countries

yes, this is th fact that Vietnam regained independence from 1945 but fighting for this is untill 1990. the dispute in SCS is still existed. The battle for full independence is still going on. We focus now for eco development first. Our GDP is very low.

My Opa and papa were killed by France and American. As human being I hate wars. As I said that we are not to be happy to produce weapon to kill someone else in this planet.
Confliction is another way for communication. Just hope it can be monitored. The two nation need time to learn to live nearby. Being neighbors does mean a lot troubles. But I truly believe Vietnam will be industrialized pretty soon because it has very good people, and a pretty good government.

communication doesn't mean to killing your neighbors to demonstration your muscle.

At least you are most educated chinese guy in comparison with other Chinese keyboard warriors in this forum.

I hope China and Vietnam will sat down to solve SCS dispute base on rule of international law. No needed to make nosy about such idiot weapon, what someone else here can produce

Without confliction, China and Vietnam will have less chance to talk to each other because both sides have negative memories.
I have been in Vietnam a few times, very impressed by the intelligent and hard-working Vietnamese, especially Vietnam women. The education is also very good, only next Singapore in ASEAN, but Vietnam has 100million people, only being independent 40 years! We joked the Vietnam situation proves Communist system does care its own people's welfare, like what happens in China.
Any reasonable people will agree Vietnam has a bright future.

Vietnam right now very focusing on Naval platforms production and manufacturing engineering, especially for their patrol ships, small combatant ships and OPV for their coast guard use. One can wonder why Vietnam which their land platform seemed so lacks and looking pop out from the early phase of Cold War era but had a robust and quite modern Naval and patrol fleets.

Bason Shipyard, is one of their prime examples of their manufacturing prowess in Naval platform though not one of the best in the region bus still commendable for their rapid progress.

where is Myanmar? They build stealthy looking ships and they also have a robust arms industry. Overall in term of defense industry, I would say Indonesia, then either Singapore or Myanmar

funny,Is Singapore going to sanction China? China afraid?
You are seeing it the wrong way brother.Singapore will never be able to challenge a mighty country like China. It is more of a displeasure,as Singapore shares friendly relationship with China.Such moves from China came as a shock to Singaporeans like myself.Hope you don't see it as a hatred towards China.

As I know, UDMC rifles are not even used widely by AFP as they got quality control issues.

Myanmar is an interesting country in development of local defence industry in Southeast Asia since not many news are coming out of them but they have an impressive defence industry.
