ASEAN can utilise India’s telecom expertise: Sinha

Let's see what we have here.

1. You say Indian companies are good at Telecom.
2. Chinese hardware is crap
3. Yet all Indian companies, which are supposed to be good, use Chinese hardware.

Which school did you learn debating skills from again? Or are you 14?
Don't be too hard on him, bro. He's just having his kind of fun. ;)

To be honest and completely neutral India is far behind China in this area. If India is so great Sri lanka wouldn't choose Chinese Huawei when India is right next to SL.
The Sri Lankan government signed a MoU with Huawei for development of Digital Infrastructure and is the top choice of Sri Lanka in this area.

Indian Micromax phones were pretty popular several years ago but they were soon washed away by Chinese phones mainly Huawei but Oppo is gaining popularity as well. Haven't seen an Indian phone in a long time.

This particular Elite Member has been on PDF since 2009, so he is not an underage wasted kid. He doesn't come here to DEBATE, so he doesn't need any logic. He is here to bad-mouth China at every opportunity. I hope he is in minority among Indians.

That is a definition of a troll.

On topic, I think this minister is talking about system design and consulting. There is no way he is talking about providing Indian brand high end or trunk level telecom equipments as India has none. That is zero, zilch. So he is clearly only brag about services. Such as training and consulting service. Too bad ASEANs don't use English as India would be able to provide tech support as well.

You know Huawei's one year revenue is greater than your whole Indian IT industry .

Totally and utterly incorrect.

I have huge respect for Huawei, yet this assertion is false.

India IT exports are themselves over 100 billion dollars, while Huawei has a revenue less than that.

Tata build low quality cars in India. Jaguar and rover made in UK.

Which cars are made in Britain and where exactly are they made?

Last year, Britain's auto industry turned over a record £69.5bn. That's 61% higher than in 2000. But what are these cars and where exactly are they made.

Manufacturers like Jaguar, Ford, Nissan and BMW have recently invested millions of pounds into their UK-based factories.

No we are not there yet, still a long way to go. Vietnam would make a huge step forward if she can successfully industrialize the agrarian sector where there is still a large portion of working people.
Vietnam's progress will be great.

His views are one-sided, or he don't understand China. What he called cheap and unreliable products. In his view, China can only make toys or other low value-added products.

But... As we know, the Chinese manufacturing also includes ships (world market share of 50%, Including the LNG ship, China have exported Mobil / MOL). Weapons (world market share of 6%, the world top 3 arms exporter), high-speed trains, supercomputers (NO.1), Heavy machinery (SANY, XCMG and ZPMC), renewable energy sources.

So, he doesn't understand... China is an industrial system, made in China almost all areas involved. Of course, he also saw the field of telecommunications equipment.

So, can he really rely on cheap, export these "cheap goods" to the world?
