Asad Umar: Malaysia interested in procuring JF-17 Thunder from Pakistan

.
That being the major deciding factor, PAC has decided to launch 120 different colour scheme for Thunder on urgent basis to capture the "Fashion Fighter" market.
lets not bush around the beating, a fighter jet has gotta look sexy

.
Malaysia currently has shortlisted 4 aircraft: typhoon, rafale, gripen, F/A-18. they do not have a requirement for a fighter of class of JF-17. it would probably do much good for pakistan to offer partnership for production to Malaysia - sort of brings them into Pak/China fold firmly.
Note happening. Malaysia have South China Sea Dispute with China So joint Production involving china have Slim Chance.
And as you mentioned Malaysia don't need JF17s as they have strong economy and they can afford to buy expensive Advance systems from USA, Russia and Europe

. . . .
I think it would be much better to involve them in joint venture for fifth gen Azam project as it will make R and D fund availability for this project more easier jf17 thunder is not strong enough for future air force needs

Then you lack the understanding of the JF-17 platform.
Mirages from several decades earlier are still operational and still useful, ask yourself why?

.
pakistan offered JF-17 to Malaysia even in past however it was not materialized due to several reasons... hopefully this time we will see some serious negotiation for a sale deal, Malaysia is now trying to establish their own defense industry and it would be a good start for Malaysia to enter in a agreement with Pakistna and China for co production of JF-17 upcoming blocks

bunch of lies...
Malaysia and China enjoy a good relationship and that's why China amicably reviewed the deals with Mahathir without making any issue. Also, Malaysian economy is not that good right now and for that very reason Tun Mahathir killed the big ticket projects. Malaysian airforce consists of old airplanes mostly from Russia which are out of service and so even JF17 block-I offers a good upgrade while JF17-III will be as good or better than any 4.5th gen A/C in its category but at much lower cost both in terms of unit and operations. Pakistan and Malaysia are friendly countries so it will be great future proof system for Malaysia.

.
I think we should invite them to join the JF-17 and K-8 program.

.
There was some interest previously, wonder if Malaysia would buy $6 billion worth of JF-17s? :D
It depends on who did the sales pitch and to whom. I think now prospects are better if PAF can avail this to secure in a timely manner.

bunch of lies...
Thanks for the Complements

Malaysians are not like us who drive foreign policies on emotions. They have issues with china. They have Cancelled the OBOR Projects with China recently and are now mending ties with china. Its not Bread and Honey between them like it is between Us and China.

Also, Malaysian economy is not that good right now and for that very reason Tun Mahathir killed the big ticket projects.
Malaysia is an Upper Middle Income Country like South Africa. Malaysian Current Account Surplus Balance is almost 10 Billion Dollars. An Economy of 350 Billion Dollars with Foreign Exchange reserves of Over 100 Billion Dollars!!!!!. Such a small country have more foreign exchange reserves then Turkey and Canada!!!!
He killed those projects due to their economic feasibility and repay ability as they are not that desperate economically as us to accept investment of any form and conditions

Malaysian airforce consists of old airplanes mostly from Russia which are out of service
Wha?!!!
Su30MKM BAE Hawk and F18 Super Hornets are Old planes? :o:
Best of the operations 4.5th Generations fighters available from Americans and Russians
Even their Propeller Trainers are from Switzerland. Every second country buys our Super Mushak Trainer because of its cost effectiveness and efficiency. But Malays operate PC-7

Pakistan and Malaysia are friendly countries so it will be great future proof system for Malaysia.
Yes we are friendly Nations and we will Get great things from Malaysia. Will learn from them will increase Bilateral Trade. BUT they don't need our Defense Equipment we can cooperate in other areas. They don't have that much of hostility so they don't spend much on defense. they are peaceful people without any significant hostility.

Oh so you have a habit of backing up your lies with more lies. Do you even know how many made in Pakistan weapon systems they operate? Ever heard about Anza? Go google kiddo.

They don't have that much of hostility so they don't spend much on defense. they are peaceful people without any significant hostility.
So this only applies to the purchase of military equipment from Pakistan :o::o: what a moronic statement is that.
