The MTA is a far more humble aim, and that is nowhere on the horizon yet.

HAL has not made a successful fixed wing aircraft yet (other than the semi successful Marut, and the monoplane Basant), and a grand total of ONE successful helicopter, and you expect it to contribute to something like a helicopter-fixed wing aircraft hybrid?

That's like expecting somebody who built a raft to build a submarine.

Something like V-22 would be a big challenge for Russia, and probably impossible for China. HAL???

Well I am not exactly putting my money on HAL ;)
Well buddy don't underestimate Russians ;)
They made and operate counter rotating propellers which is still impossible for many.

And for the example of Sub , just search the history if Submarine you will be surprised :D

I personally don't think MTA will ever materialise.
And R&D should be done in the filed which our forces need and NOT in what our PSU's can or can't make. V-22 is super concept but I doubt US will be willing to hand over us all the tech and price tag would be dam high. So why not use Russians for JV and try something we need ???

And it's just a wish dear. Nobody cares about it

The MTA will be more or less like the FGFA, we provide part of the money, IL designs it, tests it, we get some prototypes and then we can build them at home and put HAL infront of the name ;)
